Enjoy flying the same aircraft domestically for the rest of your life. You wouldn't like the layovers in Asia anyway.

Yeah, all that MD11 time was domestic.

You know what? I have a lot more fun in LBB with SWA crews than I ever did in Asia.

Of course, I'm sure I didn't have the same 'friends' entertaining me over there that some of you do.

Hope your sores are healing up.

the line pilot at SWA is no more responsible for the success of their company than a line pilot at a legacy for their travails. /quote]

So when we were "dragging down the industry for 24 years", that didn't contribute to the success of the company? You can't have it both ways.

The hubris of the SWA crowd never ceases to amaze me.

After over 24+ years of dragging the back end of pay scales and benefits in the industry and sucking up to your management friends (like flying for free at one point just to save the company, where is your self-respect?), you are the best paid by default not design. Had 9-11 not happened you would still be losing pilots to other airlines every month just like you were up and until the day the towers came down.

Don't sit around and act like this is some sort of master plan. It is just a matter of time before someone comes in and undercuts your ass when your costs too high.

So then what would you say about the pilots at Delta,AA, UAL etc. Tell me they didn't act the same way. Its nice to be on top but I'm sure everyone understands that it may not be forever.

Elucidate me as to why I would say that about them? I don't recollect any of these pilot groups undercutting each other until after the malaise of 9-11.

right, so it's okay when your survival is on the line(?) what do you think was going on when wn was fighting for it's survival?

My point was that even when wn was fighting for it's life- they paid lower- but enough to live well in society. Legacy guys completely sold the junior pilot out. To the point where they are struggling to achieve basic financial goals after several years w/ that major-- much less plan for the next furlough.

Sing it with me SW pilots....Spokane, Boise, Amarillo, Lubbock, Tulsa, Omaha...you've been everywhere man, you've been everywhere man.

It's amazing that you can go to all of those places and still have gone nowhere. Good on you.

Clippy....who cares where you've been. Really.

It's about time off and money. Time off to spend with your family and money to plan for when your flyin' days are over. Then you can brag to all the old farts at the FBO wearing orange jumpsuits and scrambled eggs on their visors on 'where you've been.' You may find that those who have flown everywhere passing numerous timezones look a lot older and may not live as long as those domestic dudes. Maybe LBB, ELP and MAF aren't that bad a choice. You really don't have to fly the big whales to mark a great career.

I'm a SWA pilot and have been many more places than you, son.

I don't understand why all of us pilots are the bitches we are. We are unable to just be happy with what we have and not try to justify the jealousy and bitterness that we feel towards other pilots because they are in a better situation than the one we find our selves at currently. What a joke, who gives a FU** about flying a 787, 747, 737, etc or flying for Delta or SW or United, Who FUC***G cares. Stop being bitter, make the most of what you have and just shut the FU** up. And I don't fly for SW. uba757
