My guess

NWA - 70% yes 30% no

DAL - 55% yes 45% no

Should be a busy week ;)

Well, if it doesn't pass... the merger still goes!

Take what we got and move forward....

NWA 80%
DAL 65%

Ya'll actually think Anderson or Steenland give two sh*ts about what your numbers are about the JCBA?

This merger is happening even if the numbers were at 0% and 0%.

Ding! We have a winner. Johnny, tell him what he's won!!!!

Our lucky Peaknuckle right seater has won a lifetime supply of aviation career misery! And that's not all!!! He'll be joined by hundreds of other flyboys and girls who thought airline flying would be a lifetime of long layovers and six figure salaries!!!!

Dude, my decidedly better half is a 12 year Red Tail. We've known this was coming since the day both companies filed BK in the same courthouse on the same day. Didn't exactly take Carnac...

Dude, that was exactly my point. Thanks for proving it!

The lifetime supply of aviation career misery was here when you mainline Delta boys thought you were too good for the little CRJ jets, and farmed/scoped them out to protect flying heavy metal for senior guys.

As far as 6-figure salaries, look at yourselves in the mirror for having taken huge concessions to "save" the airline, only to have management pocket millions upon millions of bonuses. Thanks for your hard efforts! Though I can't blame you much there. The Bush administration NMB elected officials will never release any group into self-help. To make matters worse, pro-company judges will stop workers from having the right to strike once the airline enters bankruptcy and decides to throw out labor contracts.

Be ready for the worst, hope for the best.

PS... I'm not miserable, I'm happy with my life right now.

Probably true.

This merger still has TERMENDOUS integration costs, and I truly can't help but wonder how many "synergies" will really help. I shiver at the word 'synergies' as Doug Parker used and abused that word.

On an interesting side note, every other airline has given up on the merger mania.

The synergies are on the mainline side of things. The synergy term doesnt go with the regional side. The likely negative effects will be at the regional level, especially those involved with large amounts of 50 seaters. Its going to be interesting, Time will tell

Tone is a hard thing to capture on-line, but for a guy that's barely a year removed from the left seat of an RJ, you seem a little too "I got mine..." for good taste.

Yes you read my post wrong and took it out of context. Relax ;)

What i posted was speculation on my part by paying attention to whats going on on the NWA/DAL sides.

Again it will be interesting and time will tell.
