SWA Aug Decision Board

Any good info on the August Decision Board. LL told us during the in brief that it would probably be the week of 11-15 Aug.

With all the negativity that surrounds FI, I thought I would start a little positive talk. Everyone is sending people home, and once again, SW is doing the opposite. Told that probably 300 more to be placed in the pool this year. Great news.

FWIW, I heard the DB would meet on Wednesday Aug 20, but things could always change. If they do meet on the 20th I would think phone calls would start to go out on Friday the 22nd. Good luck!

She did say that things were happening "very fast". They were also going to have to throw all the CP's vacations and whatnot together before they would be able to set a date.

Just to add to the confusion. Good friend (reliable source as he always seem to know crap before it comes out) was told by his CP that it was Aug 12-14.

We'll see as I also wait to hear. No references called yet either.

Spoke with PHX CP last week who said Aug 13th. DBs are usually on Wednesdays and calls usually BEGIN Friday but some guys do have to wait until the following week.
BTW, I know plenty of guys who interviewed this month and none of them have told me their references were checked. They are interviewing differently this year, so maybe they are conducting the prelim background checks differently as well. The references check was the first big positive indication things are going well, and it normally happened inside a week of the interview.

No references called, PRIA checks either. They were unable to even GET anyone at my airline to answer the phone for an employment check. They called me for another number, or a pay stub. Seems pretty insignificant on the surface, but at least SOME progress.
