Getting back to original question, the program for employees to take time off (up to a year) came out today and so if you are waiting for a class date, it's gonna be a while.

yeh and you have to have 3 years seniority to put in for it, what a croc! The diff between 2 and 3 year pay is minimal!

Obviously they want to get the higher paid RJ captains to take the time off. A majority of the EMB pilots and RJ FOs don't qualify for the program.

I could see them running a class or two for EMB newhires, but upgrades and RJ FOs are probably done till next summer.

Unfortunately True.

Latest company newsletter shows two -900's coming online in december....

How come ASA captains make the same or more than Skywest captains for flying the -700 for the same company?

Because the 900's are contractually limited to 76 seats...back to 70 seats if DL parks narrow bodys.

LAX, October 1st: 58 pilots. From VP Inflight...official.
