Yes, still pretending. Am I not good at it or what?

Pilots laying over in Cologne on Wednesday, July 16 are cordially invited to a flight crew appreciation reception that will be hosted by UPS Airline President, Bob Lekites and UPS Airline CFO, Mark McCloud at 19:00 local time at the outdoor Maritim Bellevue, weather permitting, or the Cafe Heumarkt. Hors d'oeuvres and refreshments will be provided.

This reception should be an excellent opportunity to have informal discussions with senior management on topics you wish to discuss.

What's the best way to know when the application window opens at UPS? Do I just have to check the UPS website or do they outsource their application process?

Would that Q&A reception have anything to do with how they can bid back to ANC international or SDF domestic since DHL airlines will carry the lift in the next 12 to 18 months?:smash:

What's DHL airlines? If you are referring to UPS contracting with Astar and ABX, I think that UPS will have to use them in the interim. I don't think we will use much of ABX though, as they have just a few cargo door 767s. I can see us using most/all of Astar during the transition.

No, DHL owns their airlines abroad and partners with a couple more. I think they will be flying UPS international freight in the long term. Do not let your guard down with these guys because they think squat about workers. You can say no way all you want, just listen to me and understand what I am saying. You better think of the unthinkable and plan for it or you guys will be cutting jobs within a few years.

I hear what you are saying, but we are not worried. We are not you and will not end up like you. We are the 8th largest airline in the world. All the DHL owned and contracted airlines in the world couldn't fly our international volume, yet alone us and DHL's combined. All that is going down here in the US is just simply DHL replacing you with us, while DHL downsizes greatly in the US. Quit trying to make more out of this than what it really is. There is no conspiracy to try and screw the IPA.

<cough><cough> Yep, thats it. You're right, what was I thinking. Yep, you guys are the golden boys and are untouchable. Heck I wouldn't do anything if I were in your shoes either. Nope. Nothing to learn from what has happened here. <cough><cough>

You obviously have no idea how large our international system is. We fly more block hours internationally than we do domestically. But I guess that we are going to have to turn over our 747-400s, Md-11s and 767-300s to DHL so they can fly our stuff internationally since we fly their stuff domestically.

<cough><cough> Yep, you're right. No need to explain yourself. You go boy, right on!<cough><cough>

In this PC country we live in, it's only fair that if you guys end up losing flying that we must end up losing flying too. That way there are no winners and no feelings get hurt.

Nope, never said that. Here try this:

RAH RAH BROWN
KICK 'EM WHILE THEIR DOWN
RAH RAH BRASS
KICK 'EM IN THE ____

You go boy! YOU ROCK!

EDIT: Oh, I almost forgot <cough><cough>

We're not kicking you while you are down, but don't be an idiot and think the because you got $hit on we are going to get $hit on too.

Why do you keep talking? I said you're right. You guys are untouchable. The golden boys. NOTHING bad can happen to you out of this. Nope. Nothing but blue skies ahead for you guys. Yep, nothing but good can come out of this for you guys. No need to learn anything from The Wilmington Syndrome.

<cough><cough>

Wasting your time shooter. Browntothenose, aka "Rhoid" is only here to stir the pot.

If you want real information about UPS talk to one of their pilots. They are far more professional that Browntothenose could ever dream of being.

Now I know that you weren't there, because this was discussed and you have given the wrong answer. If you were there, PM me, or put it here, I don't care, with the name of three ACP's that were in attendance.
