Might be RPA. They just moved to the C Terminal in CLT and Mesa moved to the E Terminal. Picking up more Mesa weekend flights and some former PSA weekend stuff in July. Some might be seasonal flying.

T8

Dont know specifics but Joe Rose came in. Said all USairway express carriers got flying cut for the future. PSA/PDT lost the least via percentage. Contract carriers lost greater percentages. According to him, he was part of the phone convos with Parker and the others, the convo stated they could not furlough mainline without cutting express as well. Thus all express carriers for Usairways is "supposely" going to be losing flying. Now who knows what will really happen.

smoooooooooookin' joe!

Yeah that guy... As I said I dont know how much of that I believe. Or perhaps PSA/PDT just got cut and he's trying to make it sound better. But I'd have a feeling everyone lost some.
When someone is willing to sign diamond J off IOE then I'll start to believe his oral diarhea. He's just TK's little puppet.
Remember when he told us we'd be shutting down next week if we didn't vote yes on the 900s. He's full of sh!t!

The only thing I could see them doing is pulling down some flight hours, but they will even have a hard time with that.

According to PDT management (I know, consider the source!) so far we are up block hours to the point that we are adding one aircraft into the rotation and canceling the paint line for now to cover the flying. As mainline pulls down though, I still wouln't be suprised by some reduction as th need for feed decreases.

Hard time doing what, reducing hours of carriers? Not at all. They can do as they wish as bad as it sucks. As long as you have flying they have met the contract. Also I'd be more worried about the Chap 11 thoughts. If airways were to TU I really dont see them bouncing back IMO.

Oh I agree about the chapter 11, but there are minimum block hours in every contract, I am guessing they are pretty close to them now, and I am betting by the end of the summer they will still be pretty close to them.

Yeah I cant even pretend to act as if I know. Heck I dont even think any pilot really knows that. Its like MGT secret and they keep it away from us. Hopefully if they do reduce our flying "express in general" it will keep them from going Chap 11 which I do believe will result in airways ceasing ops.

Yea, I was told in CQ that we will be adding to our block hours. They must be really needing the Dash 8's now. Especially since they decided to Fix 839EX after it was about to be a total loss with the hell damage (can't even guess what that cost). You would have thought they would have just turned it into Beer Cans then fix it. Oh well, but its US Airways we are talking about.

I'm not sure if 839 is owned or leased, but if it is leased it might cheaper to reapair it on our dime then send back with a ton of dings

Does PSA have minimum block hours? If you are pulling down flying, why continue flying non contract 50 seat RJ's when you can put Dash's on the routes instead? Everyone else has contracts, PDT has the fuel efficiency.

Lets just hope the cancelled flights from maintenance and "too hot for service" don't mitigate the advantages of the Dash.

bring on horizon's q200's and park psa's 50 seaters. thats what they would do if they attempted to be smart.
