So what was xjt's bid and skw's bid? Give us some numbers to compare. If you're going to claim this back it up with something.

Why are we still discussing this?

This isn't highschool(my company can BUY your company!).

If XJT can thrive in this market...we should be happy. These guys were facing a lot of uncertainty...it's gotta be a HUGE relief to see 7 years locked in. I work at SkyWest and I'm tired of seeing people salivate over the demise of other companies. They've obviously NEVER gotten "the call" to be feeling like that.

I, for one, am really happy XJT pilots have a sound future ahead of them.

XJT bid very low to keep the CAL flying. They bid lower then Skywest would ever consider. I think Mesa even wouldn't of stooped that low. XJT isn't out of the woods yet. Still have liquidity problems. Hearing 300 furloughs coming soon. They may yet wish they were bought out. How's that for cocky?

Wow, sounds like someone has an inferiority complex. How do you know what our bid was, smart@ss? That was OUR flying to begin with...we simply kept our flying, with our excellent contract intact. That is a fundamental difference between XJT and many other airlines. While we may bid on flying for various airlines, we continue to maintain a good contract, good work rules, and good relations with our management.

Not with what SKW management put on the table for the XJT pilots! Now if they were willing to buy XJT with the pilots CBA intact, it would have been good for everyone in the long run.

It would've been a good deal for the Skywest pilots, but they're too stupid to see the big picture. Didn't they vote against ALPA twice? You can bag on ALPA all you want, but when Skywest management puts down the hammer in the future, the pilots will have no recourse.

And before that... it was a collection of contractors, such as Britt Airways, Rocky Mountain Airways, Bar Harbor Airlines, Provincetown-Boston, and so on. The period when "Continental Express" was a wholly owned subsidiary of Continental was a fairly brief one (just 9 years).

Hmmm captain overs your spot on like always. I guess I should have went to Mesa, Pinnacle, Trans States, Chitaco, Eagle, Mesaba, etc.. where everything is rosy and golden.

You know it's funny that every time an XE person comes on here (except for nevets) they all say how cocky the OO guys are...well, it seems to me that it's the OO guys who are taking the high road.

Most OO guys wanted nothing to do with XJT, contrary to the claims of the some of the XJT posters. Maybe there was a few immature idiots spouting off, but I hear you have those over at XE too. In any case, we're all glad that it turned out like this.

The deal that SKW and CAL had was for SKW to operate 29 of XJT's ERJs with Skywest pilots.
