Not a pilot, but you could call me a "Kool-Aid drinker", so to speak...and I echo these sentiments. I'm glad to see it worked out as it did and I hope XJT is able to pull off the inevitable discontinuation of the branded operation with minimal consequence to the pilots dedicated to that operation.probably because most of us are glad it went down like this.
glad to hear it for XJT.
Im sorry, but i had to hear all this cocky crap from skywest pilots of taking over all of XJT, but i havent heard from ya today! another example of DONT BELIEVE IT TILL YOU SEE IT! sorry folks!

It goes like this, HOU, major maintenance done in COS. The number 100. Wait and see...

It would also be a good thing for you guys - to be owned by such a shrewd management team (IMHO) but either way congratulations and I hope this is some job security for you - I have many good friends at XJT.
Ummm...its still possible.
Also, I took some interesting tidbits from an AP article published this morning.
ExpressJet said the new agreement makes significant changes to Continental's rights as compared with the original deal, including the easing of certain limitations and restrictions.
The deal also allows ExpressJet to fly for other carriers and to continue the consideration of strategic alternatives, including the company's possible sale. ExpressJet said earlier this week it is continuing to explore strategic and operational alternatives in response to SkyWest Inc.'s unsolicited takeover offer in April.
It's not over yet boys & girls. Obviously, you have not heard of the meeting in Vegas last week. I wonder why we are interviewing all month, hiring & STILL writing maintenance procedures for the ERJ. It goes like this, HOU, major maintenance done in COS. The number 100. Wait and see...

XJT bid very low to keep the CAL flying. They bid lower then Skywest would ever consider. I think Mesa even wouldn't of stooped that low. XJT isn't out of the woods yet. Still have liquidity problems. Hearing 300 furloughs coming soon. They may yet wish they were bought out. How's that for cocky?
