Im sorry, but i had to hear all this cocky crap from skywest pilots of taking over all of XJT, but i havent heard from ya today! another example of DONT BELIEVE IT TILL YOU SEE IT! sorry folks!

Haven't heard much from us? How about...your a douuchebaag. Good for the express jet guys and congrats.

I'm with SkyWest and I am very happy for XJT. I'de venture to say the crew lounge wasn't moping and crying the last few days about it as most of us are glad to see it worked out for XJT.

Dork, knob, or any other kindly derogatory term is appropriate.

Just another immature post of many, I am glad for the EXJ group and hope for a smooth transition out of branded for them.

XJT bid very low to keep the CAL flying. They bid lower then Skywest would ever consider. I think Mesa even wouldn't of stooped that low. XJT isn't out of the woods yet. Still have liquidity problems. Hearing 300 furloughs coming soon. They may yet wish they were bought out. How's that for cocky?

Erlanger, why did you have to do that? So far this guy had fallen on his face, now you give him, and others like him, the ammo to attack ALL Skywest pilots.

Sometimes its better to say nothing.

It would also be a good thing for you guys - to be owned by such a shrewd management team (IMHO) but either way congratulations and I hope this is some job security for you - I have many good friends at XJT.

Not with what SKW management put on the table for the XJT pilots! Now if they were willing to buy XJT with the pilots CBA intact, it would have been good for everyone in the long run.

Ummm...its still possible.

Also, I took some interesting tidbits from an AP article published this morning.

ExpressJet said the new agreement makes significant changes to Continental's rights as compared with the original deal, including the easing of certain limitations and restrictions.
The deal also allows ExpressJet to fly for other carriers and to continue the consideration of strategic alternatives, including the company's possible sale. ExpressJet said earlier this week it is continuing to explore strategic and operational alternatives in response to SkyWest Inc.'s unsolicited takeover offer in April.

It is still possible although I think its a long shot now that XJT has a CPA with CAL for 205 aircraft.

Also: SkyWest says it won't pursue ExpressJet after carrier strikes new deal with Continental http://money.cnn.com/news/newsfeeds/articles/apwire/0830d69078bd89d04b082ad030b7fec7.htm

It's not over yet boys & girls. Obviously, you have not heard of the meeting in Vegas last week. I wonder why we are interviewing all month, hiring & STILL writing maintenance procedures for the ERJ. It goes like this, HOU, major maintenance done in COS. The number 100. Wait and see...

Ummm...yep, its over. The ERJ program is DOA. Didn't you see CC message? Glad it went down like this.....good luck Express Jet (except the dude who started this post).....

I think the meeting you are refering was to try to work out the differences between SKW and XJT MEC. The XJT MEC has since said they are no longer interested in continuing talks with SKW.

I wonder, if what you say about hiring, maintenance, etc. wasn't something in the works before all this went down? Like I said, I think its still a possibility for SKW to do some CAL flying but I think its a long shot.

Its still better than what SKW was offering the pilots though! I don't think most XJT pilots will wish they were bought by SKW with the terms that SKW wanted.

So what was xjt's bid and skw's bid? Give us some numbers to compare. If you're going to claim this back it up with something.
