Also, the deal SKW had for XJT, they would have furloughed over 700 pilots immediately while at the same time taking 29 of XJT's aircraft and give the furloughees preferential interviews at SKW.
Have you ever considered that SKYW has access to 29 ERJ's that don't belong to XJT?

Have you ever considered that SKYW will begin flying for Continental under a CPA with Continental without regard to whether or not SKYW closes a deal with XJT?

Have you ever considered why SKYW is moving forward very quickly to establish a training program for the EMB 145?

If you haven't condiered these three things, you're leaving some important things out of the equation.

As a recent advertising campaign points out, "Life comes at you fast." Are you ready?

Yes, but that doesn't invalidate anything else I have said. I was just making the point that if this deal goes through the 35 year history you talk about would have been out the door. I was just giving you a hard time.;)

No it wouldn't. SkyWest Airlines is a product of SkyWest Inc. ASA is also a product of SkyWest Inc. If things go down as it has been discussed, SkyWest Airlines will have never furloughed a pilot due to the wise business decisions of SkyWest Airlines management. Xjet may furlough, but it will ultimately be due to the poor business decisions of Xjet management. Those decisions may be made by SkyWest Inc., but Inc. may make those decisions only because Xjet management is too stupid to do it. They would rather dig their own graves than admit they made poor business decisions.

There is no sense in trying to talk to some of the XJTers.

Unless you're praising them and their management they think you're scum.

SkyWest- you should have voted in ALPA, though. Bad choice on your behalf.

It seems that xjt pilots are all pissed at Skywest and not their own management. With or without Skywest, the writing is on the wall for xjt. That is all due to xjt management, and not to any outside entity.

Well, more due to CAL, but hey whatever floats your boat.

CAL is determined to yank that flying no matter what price XJT slides across the table.

I don't think many of the XJT folks would protest if shutting down branded kept the company healthy as long as CAL gave them a fair shake.

Surprisingly high oil killed a business plan that was about 50/50 anyway.

Please don't bring logic into this discussion.

It's easy to blame it on SkyWest pilots, because hating them is the popular thing to do.

Then why in the world does Skywest want XJT? Am I the only one baffled by this?

Something I've wondered as well. What's the rush to buy us? Why not pick up the parts of us they want in bankruptcy?

Continental cant afford to let XJT go into bankruptcy. That would cripple CAL's domestic feed and no other regional can replace that flying in the event of XJT going TU. I think CAL wants XJT bought so they wont have to.
