Funniest thing I have read all Day thanks for the laugh, How were his negotiation skills with Iran back at the end of his presidency. I believe there are a few former hostages that might disagree with you about Carter. Also, Most people believe that the leader of the student group that took the US Hostages is none other than there current President. But I'm sure Mahmoud Ahmadinejad will be open to diplomacy from someone who has hardly any international experience and less than 1 term as a senator

No, I've actually gone one funnier for you. Here it is.. ready..

You and your support of GW and Co.

"strategery"
W = Worst President in history
stay the course....not
mission accomplished....not

now THAT was really funny... thanks!

The profession has largely been destroyed already....Now we are talking about destroying what is left of the Republic if Obama gets in....

Wrong John. as always you're 1/2 right. But that's good... cause a lot of guys here are always wrong! ;)

You're being far too generous. John is rarely even 1/16th right.

He really is a nice guy actually and I liked him a lot when I was at ASA... He just picked the wrong side in the critical battle that has since lead to the end of any growth in the mainline and the eternal battle between regional and mainline, and the subsequent decline in wages and work rules.. Forgivable in my book ;)

I just picked "my side" in the battle that was started before either of us came to ASA....The regional/major issue should never have started....Now we all have to defend our turf....So far my career and my company has improved each year for the past 14 years....Many who chose the "other side" can't say the same thing....

In 2000 I made the decision not to move over....I doubt there is any way to put the genie back in the bottle....

ALPA should be a single army with multiple platoons or divisions.....Instead ALPA is more like a country in civil war with multiple armies fighting each other...

We are all doing what is best for each of us now....

Everything is forgivable, but only if forgiveness is asked for. John refuses to even admit fault, so it's hard to "forgive" him. He should be expelled from the Association, nice guy or not.

Please expell me...then I don't have to pay dues anymore...

Exactly what do I have to ask forgiveness for? For protecting my interests? If that's the case everyone in this "association" needs to ask for forgiveness.....

John, I understand that the lines were drawn before we got there.. but let's be honest.. you're doing better because you're darn near the most senior pilot at ASA... how are the FO's doing? much less the junior CAs? The "career" that the regional airline has become is a fallacy.. what is a fact is the jobs at the "majors" are gone and those were the jobs that paid.. and now they can't even pay because of the whipsaw that's happened.

I don't hate you for your views.. I respect your right to them, and I agree (after two furloughs now) that you' ve done better than me... but are we really better of with ASA in its present form than when it was an E120 airline that George and John ran? Had Delta been forced to by 737's instead of CRJ's you could have been in even better shape.
