Management must be giggling in MCO, I‘m sure they knew it would get a rise out of some of us. The last thing they want is for the various employee groups to get along (something they learned from Eastern Air Lines in 1989). They seem to breed from day one the divisiveness, everyone remember the "don't trust the F/As" speech in indoc? The next time you fly with a new F/A ask them about what they say about us during their training, i.e. the "Harmonica Player" story. Don't buy into the class warfare, we are all in this together.

No, but for "pilot appreciation month", how about a banner that says, "For the professionals who know how to pronounce "AirTran" - you don't have to "aks" if there's an "s" on the end of our airline's name".

You think the flight attendants would take offense to that? Same thing they just did to us by inferring all we do is push buttons, turn the autopilot on, then sit back all fat, dumb, and lazy.

Can't say it angers me; I know better than to take serious offense, as should the flight attendants with that pretend slogan in the first paragraph above. What bothers me is the airline's obvious attempt at starting a PR war; alienating the other employee groups from "those greedy, lazy pilots" in anticipation of our upcoming return to negotiations.

It's sad, really, and I kind of hope it was just an innocent blunder by the same mensa scholar that came up with the idea of putting "airtranica" on the side of one of the airplanes.
Are you gay, she's pretty hot.

hasnt for years parts of airtrans PR culture been gruff and condescending? Just look at those stupid parked fuel trucks that talk about "low fares".

yay "low fares". really helping this industry out now.

It's called humor. It's not too bad. 'Gruff and condescending'-that mighta been yer mama...and fuel trucks possess no level of intelligence...and I was out there the other night when it was real quiet in Atlanta...I axed 'bout a hundred questions...I'm here to tell ya...those trucks don't talk...not even about those cool low fares. Tube, if you got that truck to talk, let me know how. I'm an ole farmboy, they ain't as friendly as a horse or a sow. Yeh baby!
