Anybody want to show who still holds the key to managements success? I am all about keeping a pilots job and showing them who is responsible for lining their pockets? I need some support...

I am saying all the regionals...we are the bottom line for a lot of majors making money. Cut us out and see where your podunk airports are gonna get serviced. I am tired of us being the chopping block for managements fumbles. We are integral to the entire operation no matter what regional you are at...
I hope I can get some people to join in on this and make a mark across the regional industry...this is grassroots here but if we can get the word out we can make a mark.

I'm all for a National sick day. ALL airlines, Regional and Major. Let's run this up the flagpole and see who's in. I'll do it!

Baja.

It would be great to get support on this. It would be the ultimate one-two to throw off thousands of flights. If you guys have union websites please post to get this out there see if we can get the support of the majority. We are all the sudden fat everywhere on pilots because of economy, gas, age 65, etc. But management everywhere loves the stagnation because little can get accomplished within pilot groups because of the bargaining chips are no longer there. We are quickly forgotten that we are the key to this industry because WE ARE COMPLETION FACTOR, WE ARE ON TIME PERFORMANCE, WE ARE REVENUE...without PILOTS management is running a marathon on one leg. Please support ground-roots and get the word spread.

I'm not going to knock your grassroots movement...but you do realize that things like this gain you no favor or sympathy with the flying public and the legislators who you may need to support you later on, right?

This also can't be posted on Union sites as the union can have no play in this plan. Courts have fined large $$ for less. Be very careful and possible plan through PM.

Baja.

What have they done in recent years to back your statement...They don't care about us.nJust give it a chance and see what happens. Think of all the official business that government people fly that will be unable to make it to their destination because of this...it might even wake up the legislators to show how powerful we really are to the nations infrastructure. Try driving from Cali to D.C. I will formally apologize to everyone on the 3rd if this didn't cause a ripple industry wide. What would really be a great date to do this is the week prior to Congress going back into session...everyone has to get back to DC right???

Baja...was to quick to write UNION WEBSITE and not think of those ramifications...I agree...but any other way to get the word out would be beneficial.

I know ASA pilots won't be in on this. As noticed on my past posts from over 2yrs ago. I wanted to have fishing/hunting day back then.

ASA pilots should be working on the next contract, now. (IN saying next contract, I'm saying we should be already 2yrs + in the "new" contract and currently working on the next one).:smash:

Im honestly not trying to fan the flames here but for all those who dont like their job, do what I did: quit and find/create a job that makes you happy. Its quite simple...just write down all the pros and cons of your current situation then make a decision.
Ok, that said, let the bloodletting begin.

What do you hope to accomplish with a national sick out? Look around at the economy and tell me such a juvenile prank is really going to do anything but bite the hand that feeds you.

APA pilots at AA were sued for tens of millions for a promoted job action just like this. That's why you won't see this on a union site, Mentor.

To play Devil's Advocate for a minute, how would you all feel if all the airlines decided that they were going to show the pilot's who was in charge by sending paychecks out a day late?

Screwing over millions of travellers isnt going to win any sympathy, and posting your plans for this kind of thing on a public forum is a pretty dumbass thing to do in an age where your info can be subpoenad pretty easily.

I'm in. Let's also boycott Exxon/Mobile for one day and cripple the entire universe for light-years to come.

Hey, just think of the fuel savings if we didn't fly for a day. Not just pointed at managements, but maybe OPEC would feel it!

I am all about stirring the pot...maybe if some of you that are against it would grow some balls and help out maybe some if this would hold some merit...
