Not the bunch of St. George yokels you might have thought, particularly Steven F. Udvar-Hazy. Chairman and CEO of ILFC.

The business school at Dixie State College in SGU is the named The Udvar-Hazy School of Business. I believe he donated a significant amount of money to the program and had it named for his parents. Not the bunch of St. George yokels you might have thought, particularly Steven F. Udvar-Hazy. True, but he is "one of them".
We hate SKW and RAH because you fly too cheap. Not because your company is successful. Much of you company's success came from shafting pilot groups who flew for what they were worth, or former mainline flying...
EDIT.... "Hate" is probably too strong of a word in that context. I don't hate, or even dislike any individual pilot on either seniority list. I do however, and I'm not alone, dislike a pilot group who exchanges substandard wages and work rules for growth. I also applaud the RAH pilots who will hopefully negotiate a contract that reflects the aircraft they fly. You Skywest folks on the other hand don't seem too interested in that. As evidenced by they nay voters in the last union drive. That would have been a good place to start.

its so funny to me how many people hate skywest because of our sucess... the company is managed incredibly well.... stability in this industry speaks....
They hate SKYW because of guys like you, idiots who gloat because they had the good fortune to be hired at a stable successful company. In days of yore you wouldn't have been considered for an interview, much less hired, desperation drove your employment, enjoy it you looser!its so funny to me how many people hate skywest because of our sucess... the company is managed incredibly well.... stability in this industry speaks....
And what, exactly, was said in the post you quoted that was untrue or even Kool-Aid Drinker-esque in nature? SkyWest is successful, no? As is RAH...and where there is success, there will be at least a little bit of envy masked by venomous remarks by those that may have been given a choice and chose to go with other carriers instead of SKW or RAH...only to find themselves faced with uncertainty. It is most definitely not their fault...they made the best choice for them at the time they made it...but now that two companies are finding themselves as the leaders of the pack, the popular thing to do when you're facing uncertainty is to try to bring down those who face a less uncertain future. They hate SKYW because of guys like you, idiots who gloat because they had the good fortune to be hired at a stable successful company. Based strictly upon my operational interactions with JEA, I would have to say that he is quite the consummate professional...which is more than we can say for you. A professional pilot is not defined by his piloting abilities and knowledge alone, but also by his or her interactions with others.
Any message posted by someone as an internet message board persona is, more often than not, a window that peeks into what the real person is like. Your public disdain for your your fellow company employees just because they are happy with where they are and more than OK with their station in life speaks volumes about you as a person.
We know who you are...and we know you are a miserable person to deal with & for anyone to have to fly with. If you are truly so miserable with where you are and have such hatred for the direction SkyWest has gone, why do you stick around?

Wally,
There is nothing untrue in the quote, my disgust is for the author, JEA. The disgust comes from the last union drive and his attitude towards the supporters. I stick around to work with the true professionals such as yourself, and I am working up my kool-aid swilling abilities!

And what airline with superior pay and work rules do you work for? If you think Skywest is successful by undercutting the industry you are crazy. Substandard work rules and wages? Compared to who? You hate SkW and RAH because they have found a way to be successful in a tough industry without giving substandard pay and work rules, simple as that.
