No we are not. You need to take a step back. When you are looking at all this two years from now, with your massively improved contract and pay rates (and improved for me as well) I think you will realize that the whole deal was very cleverly done.
Or you can be like this guy...recently I flew with a guy who told me a story about a former Western guy. This guy was the #1 guy on the MD-11 out of ATL, and in the previous year, with lots of overtime, had made nearly $500,000! He was going to make nearly $300,000 a year in retirement!
And he bitched every second of a 3-day 27 hour trip to Narita about how "ALPA screwed me in the merger."
At some point, if you want to believe something bad enough (like aforementioned M11 captain), you will, no matter how firmly the facts are beating you upside the head.
