Maybe more important news would be the takeoff AD that had to be issued so that regional jet pilots could learn how to rotate a swept wing jet.

Agreed. These new guys consistently come within 10 of the barber pole. I've tried to explain to a few of them after saying "don't do that again... slow down..", but I think it's a futile effort.

How did the thrust lever get stuck? It's not connected to anything, did something break in the throttle quadrant and wedge itself in the mechanism?

Probably the thrust reverser or fuel cutoff interlock malfunctioned.

WELL GOOD JOB TO ALL THE CREW!!!!

is hillarius the terminology use by pasangers and the news: " The pilot seemed to hesitate a little bit then he gave it all she got and we went up "

cap: ok theres V1 should I...not maybe I should no no no...

After "giggling" the thrust lever, it freed up. Upon landing, both TRs deployed, but the right TR lever would not advance above Reverse Idle. Mx stated that it was probably a micro switch malfunction.

And I've tried explaining to old guys the difference between Vmo/Mmo and maximum diving speed...which is about .12 mach higher. Ten knots below barber pole is an accpetable airspeed that will not compromise flight safety. Maybe these "new guys" know a little bit every once in a while...unless you are referencing flap limits...in that case, disregard.

FishNFly must be referring to the "Low Speed Cue" (Red/Black Checkerboard).
