Not trying to start another rumor but read this on airlinepilotcentral:

Jet Blue canceling interviews.
Just got the call this morning. Can't say it's surprising though. No further information was available according to the HR rep.

I have a friend who I KNOW was hired...but still hasn't been given the "yes" email...interviewed 3 weeks ago.

I was told said friend was hired via email from the recruiting dept.

I think a pool will be started since our growth is slowing more and possible...I say again, possible reduction in flying in the fall.

What? Possible? Try probable.

JR's email already stated such. From May on through the fall, reduction in flight hours.

Jb is trying to tread water.

I think all airlines, with the possible exception of SWA, is doing just that.

The current and future economic environment looks rather shaky, hopefully only for airlines and other affected industries, however, the continual rise in fuel, the credit crunch and the monopoly dollar could create another perfect recession storm. Now, I would say we are already there, but those who blabber on TV says no.

Yeah, I should have said we weren't alone in the pool.

I know...but MY reasoning is that unstable predicting of this industry. We say today that we'll reduce, but Fall is months away...LOTS can happen. So, I was being somewhat opptimistic.

dude...can't you drink lite beer or someting...I'll be in AUS a bunch next month

I wish....no drinks for the last 4 months and none going forward. Been on the diet and down 40 pounds. Once I get back to where I want to be.....I will re-activate my lush mode. :)

Give me a ring when you get to Austin...have to take the tour of 6th street...actually 4th and 5th is better but 6th will do...

Whoa!
Isn't 4th/5th the uhhhh alternative lifestyle area?
icon30.gif

6th street -- college kids and lots of fake ids. Good bands, tattoo parlors, tourists.

5th street -- late 20s loungers, laid back semi-professional, artistic types.

4th street -- early to mid thirties, professional types. Definitely laid back.

Apparently all of these streets are lighter and younger than Longhorn.

I was just trying to mess with LH.

But I will say when I lived in Austin back in the day-4/5th streets were the gay/liberal sections of town-
"not that there is anything wrong with that"
Just not for me.
but it has changed quite a bit and 4th/5th does seem a little more upscale than 6th these days.
If we could ever get that Aus Satellite Base rumor going I would consider moving back.

Chef...Lighter and younger? Went over my head....sorry.

Pigeons baby....Pigeons

So I wake up this morning and open up an email from Dave about "Jetting" and all I could think of was:

"You know how I know you're gay?"

Jetting? WTF? I have a week left of mil duty overseas -- can anyone tell me how embarrassingly gay our new national ad campaign is or isn't? Oh. And just what the f--k "jetting" means.

AirTran has Danica, we have ... "pigeons"?
