Yea me too. LOL
Bet he is a joy to do a 4 day trip with.

I've crossed paths with CA Shricker a few times over the last 20 years. He is one of the sharpest guys you will come across that still wears a pilot uniform. Long time fighter guy in the ANG, which from my experience, is a group that doesn't seem to tolerate "richards" most of the time. Great guy to drink German beers with (In Germany, you've done the same on a layover eh?)
He'd be on my top ten pilots to fly a 4 day with. In my bottom 5 choices would be guys that spend most of their time on a La Quinta crew van saying "Oh snap, my soft lunch cooler leaked on my Spongebob bag tag, LOL LOL LOL", or "We're going to do some major panty dropping tonight, LOL LOL LOL"

Try not to torture us with 2000 more posts.

I was watching Your World with Neil Cavuto yesterday on Fox News about the AA mess. Watched the segment with the AA spokesperson-yada yada yada! Then watched the next segment when the AA First Officer chimed in with his version of this debacle.

Damn! Talk about pulling no punches, I tip my hat to this guy for telling it how it is and basically contradicting the AA spokesperson-even Neil Cavuto asked him weather he's still employed and perhaps he should check his mailbox when he next reports to work!

Do you have a link to that video by chance?

He's indoors. Take your lid off. It looks rude AND unprofessional.

He's giving an interview. I think the hat is appropriate. We need to look as professional as possible for the public to hang on to what little respect and recognition we still have.

It's part of the uniform. I've never heard of an airline that suggests taking your hat off indoors. Quite the opposite in fact.

This whole situation reminds me of this...

"Son, we live in a world that has regs and those regs have to be guarded by men with short-sleave white shirts... Who's gonna do it? You? You Mr. Mx Guy? I have a greater responsibility that you can possibly imagine. You weep for Mr. Busted MX Guy and you curse the FAA. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know. That Mr. Mx Guy's ticket being pulled, while tragic probably saved lives, and my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives. You don't want the truth because deep down in places you don't talk about in the crew lounge, you want me on that ramp, you NEED me on that ramp. We use words like coffee, MEL's, violation. You use them as a punchline. I have neither the time or the inclination to explain myself to man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the safety I provide and then questions the manner in which I provide it. I'd rather you just say 'Thank you' and get on your way, otherwise I suggest you pick up a clipboard and inspect those shoddy worn-out brakes. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to..."
