How the hiring process has changed in just a short time.

Seems to me it has gotten quite a bit tighter.

If you have an interview date, you have a chance. Regardless of total time, ect, as long as your logbooks confirm that you meet NJA mins, you have your shot. You just have to be positive, proactive, and personable. And have good hygiene.

And those of you with less than 4000 hours that have a date need to thank your lucky stars because after today the things got a lot more competitive.

NetJets has thrown in the gauntlet with reference to Santulli's thoughts on XO Jet. Right now this is the place to be, and if you're still thinking about it, then you are way behind the power curve.

Breathing deeply here. I just think it is funny that you, I and everybody else would only joke about that and my sim partner thought there was nothing wrong with it. How he got hired I cannot tell you. I think it is sad that at one time not to long ago, people like that got hired and other quality pilots, with a lot more flying and customer service experience than this person, never got the chance to put on the gold tie. How things have changed.

On a side note, welcome to NetJets. What fleet did you get?

New NJA hiring policy!

what are the true hiring mins to be competitive at NJ? Of the majority of people being hired what are their backgrounds? How heavily do rec letters weigh internal and non-internal? also http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines/fractional/netjets.html
says NJ plans to hire 400 pilots, is that still accurate, and how many of those are being filled monthly. Final question how many are being interviewed monthly. Thanks in advance

Forget the hours, forget the customer service skills!

This from a "well placed source" high up in management wannabees...this is the straight skinny.

Forthwith, all applicants will be forced to "fess-up" to their Flightinfo.com "nom du plume" and all of their posts and PM's will be analyzed for spelling and grammar. Anyone caught with a mis-used word, mis-spelled word, or improper punctuation will have their application shredded. Anyone who has flamed another pilot on any forum will be denied even so much as a courtesy "no-thanks". The company has determined that Flightinfo.com is an excellent predictor of how each applicant will represent NJA to the owners.

NetJets is now making plans for operating with far fewer pilots....!!!

And that's the TRUTH....sorta.

Hey guys,

I have an interview scheduled for later this month. My approximate times are 5500TT, 3400 jet (1300 PIC), 1600 turbine (600 PIC). My background is strictly 121 passenger and had 0 internal recs. Sent in my app late Jan. I was surprised to get the email so soon. It's going to be hard to dump my "sit down and shut up" airline trained attitude but looking forward to interviewing.

The keys to the interview are straight forward. You must have the technical knowledge, you must put safety first in all situations, customer service is very important. In the sim you should show progression. It is squirelly but not that difficult. CRM is a must, especially when you are the pilot not flying. Give your partner a PAR on the approach. Verbalize the entry to hold. Give speed, glideslope and centerline calls.
I was hired last year at this time with 2553 tt, military. My interview sim partner was hired as a single seat, zero jet time, cargo pilot. He is on the 680 and I am on the 750. What your resume says, matters little, once you are in Columbus for the interview.
The rumor mill is currently churning out an interview pass rate of somewhere between 30-40%. Good luck.

I have recieved the application accepted email. If the application was sent in w/o mistakes and meets the minimum requirements is this email automatic or is it the first decision made by HR to keep you going to the next step of the process?

I'm asking this question in this thread because I just meet the minimum requirements. The question is did I get the email and into the system just because I have the min's or have they looked over it and now I might be considered for a possible interview.

You are in the pool to interview. I have heard of rejected apps from the start.
