I think that if we charge extra for overweight bags and can get away with it, then why not charge extra for obese passengers? What cost's more fuel a bag over by 1 lb or Joe Fat ass that is 325?

I think most of the airlines are trying to maximize their profits from things other than ticket sales, but do not whore themselves to the like of Skybus. It's a fine line, but it's necessary. I think customers are "de-sensitize" enough to pay for extras since the beginning of this decade.

As long as they don't ask me to bring my own water bottle to work, i'm fine...

Yeah people point and click different airlines to save 2 bucks, then spend 7 bucks on an iced half caf macchiato and 20 bucks on some crappy soft cover book they're going to read 10 pages of and leave on the plane. We have nowhere near realized maximum revenue, though we may have to be creative in working to get it.
