How to get out of a training contract...

Has anyone had any luck getting out of a training contract? Specifically QX... But other stories are welcome. My understanding is there is some legal basis under indentured servitude or signing under duress...

I know a guy who had to declare bankrupcy to get out of his QX CRJ training contract. Good luck with that.

I'll tell you a story. A friend of mine got furloughed after 9/11 like alot of us. He signed a contract then wanted to leave for a better job. He owed the $5,000.

I told him to "pay up". He chose not to.

He is $15,000. into attorney fees and guess what? He has to pay. They lost.

He hast to pay +interest and the airlines attorney fees.

Be a man, pay your bills.

Why don't you suck it up and quit acting like a retard on the forum already? Once or twice was funny but after this long period of time each post you makes points more and more to the fact that you must be one incredible tool. The kind of person who laughs at his own jokes prior to anyone else. Constantly looking for attention, approval, and acceptance from everyone around him because he was probably picked on a lot as a kid. Quit being an idiot please. It's getting annoying.

IIRC, QX is Horizon. I can think of much worse places to be. I thought the pay, benefits, QOL, etc were good.

Where would you leave Horizon for, anyway

It doesn't go into effect until you pass your PC. So even if you stay a year from your hire date you still have a few months left on it. I was stupid and found out the hard way.
