I'm not on the 757, but I can offer my opinion since I've been working there for 3 years. I've learned the following over that time:

1) The experience looks good on a resume.

2) I wouldn't leave a job I enjoyed to come here.

3) If you are lucky, good, and liked, you can come here with 0 jet time and possibly be a Captain on a heavy in 2 years.

4) If you are unlucky, good, and disliked, you can come here with 5000 jet time and possibly be a First Officer on a heavy in 20 years.

5) Gaining seniority doesn't change your QOL much (see 3 and 4 above)

6) I thanked my Fleet Manager for the opportunity when I was hired.

7) I will thank my Fleet Manager for the opportunity when I quit.

8) It isn't a career Airline Pilot job. (See 6 and 7 above)

9) Just like everything else in life, It is what you make it!

Good Luck with whatever you decide!

Well, if you got to meet that woman on the table through your position at Omni I would say the job was worth it... Getting some time in a Diesel 10 ain't bad either.

Are their 10's pure clock? or do they have any TV's to watch in the cockpit?

GPS/INS? or both?

Some have EADI's and EHSI's. There is a mix of Honeywell HT9100 and LTN 92's.

Anything new at Omni? Any chance the 18 day rotation will get smaller, or better pay with the union?

It's going to be the same or worse for a while. Min 2-3 years arbitration before a contract is ratified.
