As you are aware, NWA ALPA represents Compass pilots.

Compass has a flow through agreement with NWA.

If NWA and DAL do merge, what should happen to the Compass pilots ?

Should the Compass pilots keep their flow through agreement with the new DAL/NWA seniority list?

IMHO it was a very big mistake for NWAALPA to have brought Compass pilots in under our MEC. Precious negotiating capital will be spent on working this out.

.....Yet another ALPA blunder and probably another DFR lawsuit.....

Depends entirely on what is negotiated. There are a few possible outcomes in the event of an NWA/Delta merger.

1. Status quo is maintained, existing language is honored. (The most likely in my opinion.)

2. Flow through language is removed and Compass is maintained as a wholly owned subsidiary.

3. Flow though language is removed and Compass is allowed to be sold (it is not under current language).

4. Compass pilots are stapled to the combined seniority list. (Least likely in my opinion.)

5. Something else happens that I didn't think of.

1. Joe Merchant is, as usual, wrong.

2. The deal is done. The contract is done. Only the list remains. Ergo, the status of the flow-throughs (Note: Plural) is set.

3. They remain intact.

4. Joe Merchant is, as usual, a tool.

I don't know, but I can't see the Double-breasted folks allowing their future blood line to be "tainted" with a flow-through.
But all things are possible when money is involved.

Yes, but it won't be CMR. They still maintain their purity...

There is absolutely no question about Comair, however Compass, nor anyone for that matter, will settle well on Delta's stomach.

I guess they'll just have to get over it.

All I can say is "ouchie!" All that RJDC nonsense and bad blood and feelings between Comair and DAL, and with a wave of a wand, Compass and Mesaba get a nice flow through to Norta/Delwest.

Just goes to show, beware the Karma Police...
