Yet another example of pathetically poor and false/misleading reporting by ALL the networks. It's laughable to sit and listen to several so-called "professional" newscasters present opinion, innuendo, and speculation as fact.

Pathetic. Just pathetic.

R is for Really Reaching for something to fill the dead air during a live news story.

Next time there is something going on in aviation and is all over the news, someone ought to call into FOX and CNN and tell them that it looks like the "Network ID 10 Tango has malfunctioned".

I can hear it now:

"We are hearing from another pilot who is familiar with this aircraft that the Network ID 10 Tango has malfunctioned. CNN News has confirmed that there is a problem with a mechanism called the ID 10 Tango. We understand that the pilots are running through the steps on the Out of the Ordinary Checklist and will be making an emergency landing in 10 minutes. From the sounds of this, it seems that there may be some sort of computer malfunction or failure that may have occurred. Miles, can you fill us in on what the ID 10 Tango is and does?"

I thought all MDs had the upgraded Delta Uniform Mike Bravo, I guess this reporter was not aware.
