General,

The 767 is outdated, I think it came out in 1974 when fuel was $.50/gallon. Boeing doesn't even make them any more. They will be going to beer cans as soon as they can be replaced by a more efficient bird.

What is DAL going to replace them with? Are there any orders for new widebody replacements.

All I see at DAL is a handful of new fuel efficient 777's.

My point is NWA 's widebody fleet is newer and more fuel efficient than DAL's. The 767's are fuel thirsty old birds and will have to be replaced. Is DAL replacing them with smaller aircraft ? If not then what can we expect in future fleet plans.

NWA already has a widebody fleet plan, what is Delta's?

The 787 will replace the 767s at DAL. You seem to think the the only 787's in the world are coming to NWA. There are leasing company's with orders that will go to yet named airlines. Yes the wait for new orders is long, but our 767's have many years left in them. Delta can wait 8 years for 787's with out NWA. Actually, I doubt that the shorter range model you have on order is even the one delta wants. By far my concern is the heap of 9s on their way to the desert and the cargo op that is shutting down. That is huge in comparison to a handful of firm 78 orders...

The 767 and 757 are currently not being produced, but if they get the KC version approved, I will guarantee that they will find space to open another production line.
Retro fit the engines and avionics and the thing could fly for 30 more years.

So now seniority integration goes by orders and options not on property, as well as by fuel efficiency (including airplanes not yet on property)! That's some funny schizzle!

Our MD88 pays more than your A320 and A319, and should be placed above your mini-busses, right? Our MD90s pay more than our MD88s too.

Bye Bye--General Lee

Statements like this are what makes you the biggest horses ass on this forum.

Its no wonder why everyone on this forum thinks all Delta guys are pricks. Too bad the unsilent minority (YOU) can't just STFU!

SEATTLE, Feb. 15, 2007 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] today confirmed an order by UPS, the world's largest package delivery company, for 27 Boeing 767-300 Freighters -- an order, when all are delivered, that will nearly double the UPS 767 Freighter fleet.

The 27 new airplanes are slated for delivery beginning in 2009, extending into 2012.

As usual, a day late and a few marbles short. Just jump right in the middle of a thought when you have no clue about what has transpired. The whole point was the A319 should not be grouped with the DC9s (both NWA). Had nothing to do with DAL and your pay rates at all. I've not made one comment about integration or who's Johnson is larger. I'm secure enough in my manhood that I don't care to participate in the "who's is bigger" fight. I'm just as proud of the fact that I have a very low post # as you are of your record setting #. Leave me out of your sword fight. I'm waiting to hear what the MEC and the companies say since they are the only ones that really know what is going on and actually have a say in the process.

Don't Worry...Be Happy. I have a lot of friends at DAL and they are really good guys. Everyone know that GL is a complete horses ass and not representative of the DAL pilot group as a whole. The only reason he isn't on ignore is for the entertainment value he provides.

Thanks Paula Abdul. You must still be drinking...

I DO NOT REPRESENT ALL DELTA PILOTS. Thanks for elevating me to GOD status, though. If that is true, you are now going to heck!
