Whats the word with progress on RAH contract negotiations? What is the pilot group fighting for? Does anyone really care about getting a good contract since it is 'just a regional'? Will they sell-out for growth opportunity?

When you sell out for growth opportunity you just need to look over at Mesa and see how well that worked out.

When you have leverage you need to work on a good contract with good pay. I think the RAH folks should be in a great position to get a good/great contract.

You can only be as good as the one responsible for writing the language for the contract. They might be in a good position, but:

RAH is screwed

Hey, and while you're all pondering such deep questions, which do you think are better?

Coke/Pepsi
Wendy's Single/BK Whopper
Miller Lite/Bud Light/Coors Light
Dogs/Cats
PC/Macintosh

-Coke
-BK Whopper
-Bud Light ( but seriously, can I get a Killian's, Stella or Harps? oh wait, can't afford those)
-Dogs
-PC

In their updates, the negotiation committee isn't revealing what exactly they are asking for. All they will say is progress is being made. While I understand not wanting to give away anything, it can definitely be frustrating to say the least.

If you want to know whats going on maybe you should get invovled?

In all honesty, I think RAH should be raising the bar on the regional level. They have the leverage to do so, since they fly for just about every major carrier out there. FIGHT for pay raises, qol, schedules, holiday pay, night time override, international pay, vacation time, compensation, etc. Dont let this go un-noticed.

There are many other regional carriers that provide feed for 1 carrier, and that isnt a good feeling when its comes time for contracts. We have no leverage. Many of us cant compete with RAH in the regional market. Its your choice if the bar is raised or lowered.
