the east/west feud will seem like a lovefest compared to the pending Delta/Northwest attempted integration.

Another expert talking out of his ass! The thing is, his voice may have changed, but his breath still smells the same!
Hey tanker clown.....Don't you ever get tired of signing in and out of your various screen names?

From Wikipedia:

A cockpit is the area usually nearer the front of a piloted aircraft from which a pilot controls the aircraft. The cockpit is also commonly referred to as the flight deck although that term can also refer to the flight deck on an aircraft carrier. Most modern cockpits are fully enclosed, except on some small aircraft, and cockpits on large airliners are also physically separated from the cabin.

Cockpit as a term for the pilot's compartment in an aircraft first appeared in 1914 and from about 1935 cockpit also came to be used informally to refer to the driver's seat of a car, especially a high performance one, and this is official terminology in Formula One. The term is most likely related to the sailing term for the coxswain's station in a Royal Navy ship, and later the location of the ship's rudder controls.

So a guy from your own company is bumping you off a J/S because you are wearing a different lanyard?

If this is true...you guys got more problems than you think...and it's gonna affect the bottom line...

Again, I got no dog in this fight...but any pilot or pilot group has the right to determine who they want as a bargaining agent. Just becasue they aren't happy with yours doesn't make them a bunch of bad people.

But healing this rift...will take years...decades...

Sadly you are correct that the problems will likely affect the bottom line.

While many agree that a pilot should have the right to determine who represents them you will find many who do not share that position (many senior leaders of the current CBA included). Imagine trying to require compromise between those two positions. It is not possible. Either a pilot has a right to vote regarding his representation or he doesn't.

Some presume to qualify when a pilot has that right and others take offense at any symbol that supports the pilots right to vote.

Its really embarrassing that ALPA's chosen course and interpretation of their policy has caused such a state of affairs, but I think the majority of pilots know how to restore confidence in the profession and will conduct themselves in a mature and reasonable manner.

Interesting that once you were "outed" as the same guy posting as General Lee and others, you now magically try to make that claim against others.

Good luck with that multi-polar disorder thing. Just don't tell your AME.
