Airtran cuts growth - does it affect any near future classes?????

With the announcement of Airtran cutting back growth. Does anyone know or have heard of classes being cancelled or postponed in the near future?

Nothing official, but THE RUMORS, OH THE RUMORS!! Sorry, couldn't help myself.

I think we're hiring only Skyway pilots right now....well we should be anyway.

If you aren't sure about whether or not they are cutting classes, don't state it in your title. When I interviewed last month the plan was to have one class every three weeks until the end of the year.

No classes have been cut. For that matter, neither has growth.....yet.

They are slowing growth...not stopping growth. Big difference. Still growing. That's what is important to remember.

We will always have classes as long as we have attrition.
We will always have attrition until we get a good new contract that we can be proud of.

in the mind of the federal government that is still called a cut.

So far, there has been no announcement of further reductions in growth.....only that there MAY be.

Even the most negative rumors still have us taking on a net increase of 6 airframes this year. Hiring will continue. It could possibly slow down a little, but it won't stop.

Right now we have 87(717) and 50(737). IF we only take 6 we still will have more airplanes than we did Jan 1st. That qualifies as growth even to a 6 year old. Good thing the govt. isn't running Airtran! We already subsidise everyone else's healthcare with the crummy plan we have now!

you always have to say something. You might want to worry about your own house first, since it is on fire.
oh!-and don't forget to grammar and spell check everything.

the sky ain't falling at air tran. if you need to ask on flightinfo then you obviously are not ready for an interview yet as you do not know the company.

i'm in my house right now, and it isn't on fire.

What the H!ll are you talking about? There you go again popping off. I already work for FL, and you might want to check that house again.
