Airtran cuts growth and classes

Well, I think we are putting 39 Captains into class in February and another 11 Captains in March (some slots are transitions). Doesn't sound too slow to me. Additional, my buddy got the hire call from HR last week and was offered a choice of new hire class dates (3/17, 4/8, 4/27, or one in June). Doesn't sound like new hire classes are slowing either.

From everything I heard, sound like our summer season (where we make all of our money) will be as busy as ever with up to 20% more ASM than last summer. However, we are trimming the block hours during the slow times of the years. So yeah, we might not do 20% ASM growth when comparing 2008 to 2007, but I will take our growth plan against anybody elses.
