The rates the Skywest pilots just voted on are essentially the same rates ASA approved last fall. Are ASA's rates "crap rates" too?
 
Are these rates not better than the majority of the regional industry? For the most part, step in the right direction. We just need some unity to keep pumping a little more respect and cash out of the company.

ASA has a real payrate for bigger airplanes. You still just have a "block-hour override." Honestly, you couldn't even fix this issue? Pathetic.
 
That skywest forum had a poll that showed 70% voting against this pay proposal and 30% voting for it. Exactly the OPPOSITE of what actually happened. That stinkin' forum really takes the true pulse of your pilot group - NOT!!!!!!!!!

Go figure.

about as much as this board reflects regional pilots in general.

I didn't say anything about ASA. Any airline making as much money as Skywest should have a cost of living increase that actually allows you to keep even with the cost of living. You're definitely aiming low!

The "block-hour override" is a real pay rate, too. It pays more for flying the "bigger airplane," too. Pathetic that you are not able to admit it.

List all the airlines whose COLA's have kept even with the cost of living over the last 7 years.

The Skywest COLA equals the ASA COLA, at least for now. Skywest pilots will be back next fall talking pay for 2009.

I believe expressjets contract has a decent cost of living increase. Not sure about RAH. However, it still isn't the point. You are losing buying power each year. How much money is your company making and how much of an increase do they get from their code share partners? AIMING LOW V TECH!

Well, you ignore the question and tell us what you "believe" about a contract somewhere. Good debate. Ignore the question and provide no factual information.

So which airline contract has a COLA that has kept pace with inflation over the past 7 years?

No, it's not. A real pay rate is a separate pay category. A simple override only to block hours is not a payrate.
It pays more for flying the "bigger airplane," too.
Nice spin. You're paid more to actually fly the airplane, but not for vacation, not if you're not above guarantee while sitting reserve, not for training, etc... It's not a real pay rate.
