As for the two that got fired...well, even Flight Options has standards and these two did not meet them. Kudos to the decision makers who recognized this and, despite the company's desperation for crews,
......
It is proof that management DOES at least recognize that not just ANY pilot with ratings and time will do.
I am not kidding.
Incompetent? It does seem so, doesn't it? From what I understand, it was the training dept, not the Human resources dept that pushed for letting them go.
Met one of the aforementioned fire new hire pilots. Very affable left a commuter job to come to FLOPS. No reason given for the firing other than we didn't like your record. Why didn't they figure this out before? What is going on at FLOPS? Major reason for law suit!!!
The word I have is that one of the pilots fired made several statements in the presence of MS that our illustrious CEO did not care for. That's why the pilot was fired.
Rumor on the street is that he could not "finger flow" the CGF1 arrival chart.
I guess they figured he needed to know that one by heart.

Ummm, just a guess. But the reference to the CGF1 arrival probably meant the trip to Cuyahoga County for the carpet dance when you f up.
Similar to the Bridgeway1 at NJ.
Don't work at FO, but that was my take on the post.

A good source told me that one of the guys was let go because his background info revealed that he still had to stand trial for murder. No kidding.
The beauty is one can get the "CGF1" without even f..ing up. Welcome to FLops

Jepps has made the CGF-1 official. Please update your Jepp Binders.

I heard today, and mind you this is just what I heard, but it came from a Flops pilot...one of the new hires in indoc asked Scheeringa if he was aware that they were the lowest paid fractional, and what/when they planned on doing about it. He was fired shortly thereafter, apparently that question made him not fit in the anti union mold they hope to shape new pilots in.

Many people are hired prior to the background check information arriving back. When we hire, the drug and alcohol check must be reported back before hire, however, the full all out background check is not initiated until the applicant has been offered and accepted the position. By the time you arrange training, indoctrination, etc..your preliminary report is done, and hopefully you will have the complete by first trip. The candidates understand that all things are subject to the checks. We had one in school before we came upon the fact they had failed to mention they were convicted sex offender.
He must've come to Options after you guys let him go. Heard he flew a Beechjet for a while until a little misunderstanding in an ATL stairway!!!
