New Pinnacle DX Contract

So I hear that PCL has a new DX contract.

Sounds like it was ramrodded...

TWU can do that, did that to the American Eagle Dispatchers in the contract prior to this most recent one, where they started out at a piss-poor 9.55 an hour.

What I heard when I was there that TWU came back and said "thats the best youre gonna get"

Considering how long the situation continued I am sure the group just wanted to cross this threshold and move on. While I understand their reasoning on the vote (many did not even vote), it is an unfortunate situation. Once you sift out the numbers, the vast majority of the group has taken a pay cut, which was the writing on the wall.

They bought their Red Rider BB gun, against much wiser advice. And yes, they shot their eye out.

They pushed it through with the signing bonus. I can't find anything else in the contract I didn't already have, except for a requierment to not talk to managment if I have a problem unless I get the blessing of the union first.

The signing bonus was roughly €1357 per dispatcher. I waived the bonus because I'm independently wealthy. Really. I have an imaginary limo while I'm driving in my own car to take me to work every day and I'm perfectly insane so nothing I say is reliable.

Wow, SkyWest has no union and we just got another raise. New starting pay is $14.99 hour with a raise at 6 months.

You do the math. Took the union 2 1/2 years to get that. I'm still asking. What do we need this union for? Everyone is still complaining.

Aside from pay... Which is pretty obvious. Why would anyone want to work there in the first place? I would think there are some school janitor jobs that offer quite a bit more pay and a way better QOL.

New dispatchers have to start somewhere, shark. Concur on the school janitor jobs but they probably don't have a brand new union contract though. Everything's all better now since the TWU's here.
