What nerve the Union (1108) has sending the CitationShares pilots unsolicited cards in the mail. I just gave mine a quick trip through the shredder. They have gonads the size of elephants. Say NO to the union.

It doesn't take nerve or gonads on the part of the IBT 1108 to send you a union card. Why do you think that this takes "nerves" or "gonads"?

Hopefully, enough CS pilots will return the cards to initiate a vote. It will strengthen to position of all frac pilots.

The great thing about 1108 is that even after you do that and complain about it, they will still represent you if the need arises.

That is your right of course, although I don't agree with it. The Union has been fantastic for me and my family.
 
It takes a brave man/woman to want change.

Some can't handle it.... most are scared of it.

Some get paid to ensure that others don't get to have that choice.

You know the sad part of your rants is the union (your fellow pilots) helped a known non union supporter.

The union steward was there to help this pilot when he asked for the unions help got called to the carpet (CGF1 arrival).

The union helped that pilot KEEP his job and he has still not paid a dime in dues....

One day you might have to ask for help!

Shred a card, get another, throw it away, get another, burn it. Tick tick, time goes by... You will wonder why you have not received a card this month. You will go to www.ibt1108.com and see that you can print one. You will not, but you will know where to go IF you wanted to. Tick tick, you will go back to the website and print it. You will not fill it out but you will carry it with you.

Tick tick... An email from upper management. Where is that damn card??? I cannot find it, I will just print another. Wheres the closest mailbox? Do you have a crew car? GAME ON!!!

It is all part of the process. When you are ready, we will be here for U.
 
See Bogart, this is a great country... you have a choice and a voice!! What a great concept.

I dont know about any of the folks that "are on the fence" or are against, let alone CS, but all the 1108 pin wearing brothers I have seem from Floptions that I have met on the road recently walk taller, and definetly have a better aura around them, and it can be summed up by one sentence:

These folks have regained their dignity.

Its a choice, and It is yours.

Just think of that perspective.

I did not sheard my union cards, I kept them, good ole remainders of airlines that went out of business. I also keep my last pay stub from Zantop when they pretented to close the door, to remain me that the Teamsters took dues out of my last check.
 
after conversation with pelton on a netjets airplane to cali, you wont need to fill your cards out at all. we will welcome you with open arms...:beer:

So, the status quo works for you? Can you speak for your other pilots? Do they not deserve better pay, better health care, better work rules than what they currently have?

You sound like you are either CS management or a former scab. Your objectivity is DEAD in the water. After CS management's response to Netjets' TA, the union looks more likely than ever despite your efforts... Change is good.

Funny thing is Bogart that I have talked to at least 12 people, myself included, who have sent their union cards in since we got that email from BS. I will take a 12 to 1 ratio anyday.

In our last union drive by the UAW, I was sent a card, even though I am management, I do fly the line and was on the seniority list

Not Spiteful at all, it is in response to the earlier post about a possible buyout/merger of CS.
I don't have any info about it, but I'd be hard pressed to accept a non NJI/NJA, non Union group, in any other way than being placed at the bottom of our seniority list.

This is all speculation based on one post and my personal opinion.


PS, I'm not trying to garner any support for "my" side. It's abundantly clear about the mgt/labor relationship. You get what you negotiate for, or you accept what they give you. I like the first idea.

If a company fails, it is usually for a myriad of reasons.


It IS, however, easy to blame one factor of influence (the "Union") on it's failure.

Fill out those cards guys. Good luck!
 
Well, I just know that 1108 has been TERRIBLE for the pilots at NJA and for the company!! I mean, the pilots have to suffer with industry leading pay, specified work rules, full insurance, over 100 bases, great representation, a good LMRP, and more. And the POOR company!! I don't know what they'll possibly do with record profits this year!!! Stupid 1108!!

Congrats Bogart,
You just doomed yourself to another several years of sub standard wages and less then ideal working conditions. Or maybe the rumor about Pelton is true. Then I pray to god you pull the gear on my jet, I'm sure we would get along just fine.;)
