Well, I have gotten some pretty negative feedback about employment conditions at Flight Options... I am now wondering about NetJets. I was told that you can live anywhere but, their website lists just a few domiciles:
NetJets Aviation currently hires pilots for the following domiciles:
Columbus, OH (CMH)
Teterboro, NJ (TEB)
Dallas, TX (DAL)
West Palm Beach, FL (PBI)
Los Angeles, CA (LAX)

Would I have to move from LAS?

Also, what does the NetJets Interview consist of?
I have been working at the same company for 10 years and am not up on current Interviews... Thanks for helping out a newbie to these boards!

Make sure you check this website out so that you can compare the various fractionals:

http://airlinepilotcentral.com/airlines/fractional.html

Not sure if the list of 100 domiciles is included but LAS is definitely among them. I would definitely apply now if I were you. You have a good job now, don't waste your time with FLOPS. Netjets is the market leader BY FAR - just look at the pay scales for year one. Recommendations would be helpful - that is where networking comes in handy. I would also look at Avantair and Citationshares if you want a LAS domicile. A huge line will be forming for Netjets after this new agreement so I would contact them ASAP.

Good luck.

I think our I.T. bubbas are a bit behind on updating the company website; the contract was just passed late Friday. LAS is on the new list of crew bases, there 100 to pick from. Payscales shown on www.airlinepilotcentral.com are correct. Look at www.aviationiterviews.com for current gouge on the interview. Search this site, and you'll find lots of info on NJA.

Good luck,

I bet you could buy a nice house at the SHV (Shreveport, LA) domicile! That list offers some great variety...

So true! I'm telling you, KFAR is where it's at. All it would take is 10 NJA pilots moving to FAR and ND would see a 1% surge in state population!!

How does domicile selection work? Do you bid for it or what? Thanks (hopefully not a dumb question from an airline pilot)

Do you usually fly on one airline more than others? Just curious when I see the Houston airport is Hobby. Kind of limited on airlines out of there. Or maybe that is because NetJets lands there more than IAH

You can pick whatever crew base you want, as long as it one of the 100, no bidding for bases.

You may see more of one airline than another based on which base you pick. HOU would probably mean a lot of Southwest flights.

Definitely stay away from FLOPs! Good interview gouge at aviationinterviews.com.

Do the 100 domiciles apply to NJI also, or just NJA? If not what are the NJI domiciles and is NJI covered under the same contract as NJA?

No. They are working on that issue as we speak. Perhaps GunShot could chime in on how your bases are done?

They are no longer called domiciles. They are now "crew bases." You just tell the company which one you want.

Kinda depends on your hometown airline. I found that I made DL gold medallion easily in PBI but not so easy in MCO. MCO is mostly Southwest and Airtran. Every now and then a US Air or DL flight. Also depends a little on your fleet. On the 750 you will airline to either coast and on other fleets like the 560, if based on the east coast you may only airline to and from HPN and EWR for a limo to TEB. Gotta love that awesome service at First Aviation...:puke:

Thank you all for the information and advice. I will be avoiding FLOPS after all the negative feedback I have received about the current conditions, low pay and unfortunate low morale... I appreciate the help!
