Call in sick, who cares, what are they going to do, fire you ? Umm no, give you an occurance.. Sooooo.
Give you a no show... Um soooooo... It only stays on a year. Hell, I had one thanks to Giles pummel. Oh well, it fell off after a year and I don't care about it. What do they want a letter from doctor, I am going to call in sick and I am not going to give them one, again occurance, no show.. .piss on em

rember doc letters are current being paid for by the company!
I heard of numerous pilots wating LOA 27 on XMAS and most getting denied.
Our union says the company still has to operate, and the company can deny LOA 27's on XMAS.

I do think they are wrong since they screwed up in the first place.

Show me in the contract that it is first come first serve, also where it says only two LOA 27's per day. It is in the new contract but I dont see in the old contract. The old contract is still ruling when it comes to this. I had mine denied today too, I submitted it on Dec. 4th for a day off on the 26th....DENIED LOW COVERAGE....BS!

I guess I was getting the two contracts mixed up with the two per day. When I handed mine in last month, Michelle in sched. told me it was first come first serve. Dave in the CPO told me that also, so I took his word for it. :erm:

Turned in a letter 27 for Christmas off. Day off of my choice right? DENIED! Called a chief, he said he had an envelope of about 50 letters screw scheduling hung onto for a while and then sent back. Scheduling Union guru PD said the company has the right to run the ship? Well, they shouldn't have screwed up to have to give out LOA27's in the first place. I've used them before for Christmas and never had a problem. Actually, I've never heard of one being denied EVER!
Thoughts?

F' em. Call in sick on xmas. What are they gonna do? Give you an occurance? Ooooooh! We're sooooo scared.

Bottom line, if they want to play dirty, so will we. There's a lot more of us!

Everyone can't have Christmas off. Don't you want your free Turkey and Ham Christmas meal in the crewrest room?

If you really wanted your LOA 27 day off on Christmas, you should have put in the request as soon as the final schedules came out. Why on earth did you wait until the 4th?

Those of you saying that there should be no limitations on this, you're telling me that if 300 pilots had letters they wanted to cash in over the holiday that the company should have let them off? Get real.

I agree John, Screw them. Even if it is a no show, who cares. It only stays on a year, then drops off. Who cares and you get what you want.
hell, I my schedule is next week off, then fly 24-26 then 4 off. Laughing, you think I am going to fly over xmas, umm no.. I am going to have 14 off. screw them.

I hate to say this boys and girls, but I'm afraid you chose the wrong career if you don't want to work on holidays.
