I heard today SkyWest first year pilots are getting a $4 pay increase. Can anyone confirm this?
Not happening. They are using the money to buy Horizon Airlines.
Baze said:That's right, SkyWest is going to buy the entire Alaska Air Group!
Probably the only reason I'm not at Skywest is first year pay. I'm at Eagle now (picture rats running from a sinking ship) and would love to be based at home (DEN) but can't stomach losing nearly half my pay. Hopefully this is true.
and we can't keep poaching from other airlines forever.
Still dragging on the coat tails of your Union brothers and sisters I see. Maggots! I call you maggots because you are right, Scab is to harsh, maggots live off of there host which is what you guys are pros at, living off of the gains of Union carriers.
But its not struck work so you will have to settle for maggots.I say scabs, they denied union rep. and willing to fly union work !!!

Well I sure am glad you corrected me there, or their, or well darn I can't spell, but at least I have the God given sense to work for a Union carrier and try to make this a better career for even the non-union maggots out there, or their, whatever.
How about you go outside and play "hide-and -go-fu<k-yourself...."I say scabs, they denied union rep. and willing to fly union work !!!
cynic said:If YOU took a job at any regional in anything like the last 10 years go get a nice big cup of STFU and sip on it. You are the problem and you've got what you deserve.
Plesase instead of being mad at each other just go to www2girls1cupcom this should help mend the union of ASA and Skywhore.
haha, is that you OG?
LIARS too, ALPA had 1400-15oo people that told the ALPA folks out there that they would vote yes, and then only 900 people voted total! I call them pussie* that can not even vote!!!
So...having accepted a certain level of compensation and work rules and then wanting them to change for the better makes us the "problem"?
Isn't that basically how salary negotiations occur in every office and corporate job?
You think you are worth more to the employer after gaining longevity there and then ask for it during your review, and if you don't get your expectations met you are at liberty to leave that company in search of better...the same thing many regional pilots are currently doing?
cynic said:Nope. That is not the case.
Your best opportunity to negotiate is when you take the job.
Except there is another pilot out there willing to do it for less.
