I have been doing my own polling for a couple of months now and it does not look good. There are too many newbies at Skywest who believe every word spoken by management/SAPA. Soon they will learn.
or it help's alpa! once you call it counts as a "YES" ....Two sides to every story.

The message board is usually only used by those that seem to care about whats going on (about a 1/3 of our pilot group) our apathy is ridiculously high.
That's not true. You can call and vote NO, just as you can call and vote for a different union.
however, the majority vote getter will, by default, be the 'winner.' everyone knows that the majority vote getter will be ALPA, so calling in to vote is, by default, a vote for ALPA.
nice try, though
Just watch, if it doesn't pass, "pilot apathy" will be the biggest buzz phrase out there. I, for one, voted....by not calling. Just because someone doesn't call, doesn't mean they don't care or didn't vote.
That's only true if you call to vote for a different union. If you call to vote NO, then the vote isn't recorded as a vote for representation.
not true. there are 2 options on the call.
1-ALPA
2-write in any other individual or organization
there is no option to vote NO. that is why our management is ecouraging people NOT to call. the biggest vote getter wins, and will be our rep if they get total votes (ALPA and write-ins) of 50.1%
34% yes, unless KB sends out another email between now and the end of the voting, that would be good for another 2%
