A UPS pilot who lives in Seattle has been arrested by authorities in Clayton County on multiple charges of sexual abuse against children.

Acting on a tip, deputies arrested Weldon Mark Gilbert at the Atlanta Airport Hilton.

The warrant for Gilbert's arrest included charges of rape of a child in custody, six counts of third degree rape of a child, two counts of child molestation, and two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

At least now the public won't think we're "just" a bunch of rich cry babies. Innocent until proven guilty I guess, but it don't sound favorable.

I guess it's better they also think we are overpaid rapist's as well.

Wow. Two pilot child porn/rape incidents in one week. That is just sad. So very sad.
Wasn't the last one also in Atlanta (with Delta??) There was yet another one in Atlanta last year with the Flight Options pilot (where he had %&^&* with the minor). What's in the h20 in Atlanta?

i live in north carolina. one only has to look at the prosecutorial misconduct of the duke rape case to see you can't jump the gun, don't try him in the court of public opinion. i know the lawyer who was on the today show and represented Nifong until he knew it was a lost cause. good defense lawyers don't get behind losers, but

over zealous prosecutors are a fact and let's see the physical evidence and see any forensics stuff before we hear little sally or billy's prompted rehearsed affidavit.

I thought the ex-marine/delta guy took place a few years ago. His sentencing made the news recently.

.....don't forget about the eastern pilot who put his wife through a woodchipper when he found out she wanted a divorce and $$$$. apparently he rented the machine and returned it.

The options pilot was with a 17 year-old who was pretty much into the whole thing until they got caught "in the act".

Not saying sex with a 17-year old is OK (although it's legal in the state of Georgia which is why he probably won't get convicted), but her "rape" accusation came without any physical evidence of forced sex and the tapes in the airport captured them doing just about everything BUT sex in the train going back and forth between concourses, all completely consensual.

Terrible judgment on his part but, the point is, that until the guy is convicted by a jury of his peers, I'm not convicting him in "the court of public opinion".
