Considering Mesa?

H. 1. Once scheduled, vacation may be canceled by the Company only as the needs of
the service require, e.g.:

a. Assignment to a training class which covers the time in question.

b. Change to another piece of equipment or another position, such as Captain
versus First Officer, if the applicable vacation roster is full during the
period in question.

c. Release of a pilot with a military obligation when notification is after the
roster is full.

d. Unforecast expansion; however, if it becomes necessary, cancellations will
be made in reverse order of seniority.

2. For instances as stated in I.1., above, the Company will give at least four (4)
weeks prior notice before canceling a vacation. For instances other than as stated
in I.1., above, which are beyond the control of the Company, the pilots' MEC
Chairman will be given as much notice as possible before canceling a vacation.
Said notice will be in writing.

3. Canceled vacations will be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable time or at pilot
discretion canceled vacation will be transferred to a pilot’s vacation bank, or
cashed out.

a. A pilot whose vacation is canceled due to a training assignment as per
Section 23 will, upon the completion of training, bid for open vacation
time in his new status and equipment. In the event no open vacation time
is available in his new status and equipment, canceled vacations will be
added to the pilot’s vacation bank, or cashed out.

4. If due to Company cancellation of a pilot’s vacation, for reasons other than a
voluntary training event, and the pilot suffers the loss of a non-refundable deposit,
the pilot will be reimbursed by the Company for such loss upon documentation.
Pilots will inform the Company at the time of cancellation of such commitments.

Dosen't take a lawyer to realize that they don't have the right to do that! Don't worry though I am sure you have a good reason to apply to Mesa. So tell me all about it when you are a 3 year 3 month CRJ F.O. wondering where your fast upgrade is.

the Dog is a bible carrying man he wouldn't work for the devil.

Just for the record:

1. Is Mesa hiring and are they able to fill the classes?

2. What is the general pilot group thoughts on the mess that is going on with the courts in Hawaii?

3. Are there any rumors of Mesa buying another airline that is based in CVG?

4. How long are vacations cancelled?

I don't have much sympathy for anyone who took a job at Mesa. You knew it was a dirtbag operation to begin with, now get out or take your medicine.

A buddy of mine went there and left. I know about how that place works and anyone who would stay after the one year commitment basically voted for that POS contract.

I hope like hell you guys shut that place down for a day....

We laugh it up every day in the crew room.

3. Are there any rumors of Mesa buying another airline that is based in CVG?

No. We will have no money for that after HI and Aloha get done with us. We are down to 177M from over 300M when those rumors surfaced.

Isn't this all over just a handfull of CRJ's in HNL? It's got to be the most expensive RJ operation ever....

Good job JO.

Go find your own avatar. This one is mine!
My very first QUOTE. U da man! At least you can read mine. How long have I got to find a new one? What if I just change the sign? What if I change the cat? What about a different forum? Man this really screws my nut!!

Why do you losers! think that a dead cat is funny?!

That could have been one of your friends cat (oh that's right, you don't have any friends I bet!)

Get a life, and get a new picture too!

It's unfortunate someone made fun of a freshly smoked cat on the side of the road, but that's America.

At least the person didn't hang the carcass next to the sign.

I don't care about the cat.... but

Just curious to see how the pilot group reacts to this. It is apparent that this is a violation of the contract. I wonder how many of the pilots will give up their vacation plans and fly. I also wonder how many will take their vacation anyway, get fired, get time off while they appeal, and then get back pay when they get reinstated. Also, is the union planning a lawsuit to get an injunction against the company?

Not that it matters but is the company offering Premium pay for Vaction before trying to Cancel it? At PDT when we were short they offered Double Premium Pay for the pilots for the company to buy back Vactions. Some pilots took the cash, but many still didn't........ Mesa offer anything before cx Vactions?

It's funny to retarded white trash. People need to elevate their minds.

Open your ears pimple face nerd boy.

THERE IS NOTHING FUNNY ABOUT SOMEONES LOVED PET KILLED ON A ROAD!

GET A LIFE JERK!

No,it's funny. Just not AS funny as someones loved pet laying in the back yard because it's prick owners seem to think their neighbors property is kitty's toilet, his Koi fish are toys, and his deck chairs are scratching posts.

Gotta love subsonic .22 ammo, a must have for all cat haters.;)

I prefer a .22 pellet gun. Legal in most urban settings, and works wonders on the windshields of those pesky 3:00 car alarms! Peckerheads beware!, this means you JEA.

The Mesa bill board needs a change.
Pocono pilot, Will U marry ME?

After reading all this... If mesa pilots were concerned about other airlines encroaching upon their suckness.. rest easy.

"At least we're not Mesa..." still has plenty of ring to it.

Mesa has been offering Double pay for any open time pickup or JRA's for I believe nearly a year now. People are timing out like crazy so cx vacations appears to them like their only other option. Little do they know that it just means more attrition.
