Just heard a rumor that Don D has won his law suit and maybe his job back.

Does anybody have any additional info?

Hope it's true!

Heard the same rumor 2-3 weeks ago, but can't find anyone who knows (or will talk). Heard the same thing from maint several months ago, so I'd take it with a grain of salt.

he is.

TF should have never fired him, and it never should have proceeded to Federal trial.

in all fairness, DD should have never acted the way he did to his superior, even though many feel that TF is a tool and deserved it. I can agree with that only based on what I've heard, but it still doesn't excuse the behavior.

so, for the record, I think two strong personalities butted heads, and either could have ended it by backing off and swallowing some pride.

I'm glad DD won/got his job back.

I heard that since this was a Federal case, that DD didn't have to pay for his attorney, that he was appointed by the Govt. is that true?

If he went to the eeoc, gov paid. If a civil suit filed, plantiff pays unless court rules Skywest to pay costs. Either way, arbitration would have been quicker.

WOW Skynation,

The lengths that you go to in order to defend the company, TF in this case. Don did nothing to Tony except refuse to take blame for something he had not done.

I can't help but notice that you use the term "superior" instead of supervisor. Any hidden feelings there?

I don't know if that was the case, but I suppose the next thing is for you to accuse Don of using the awesome power of a "third party" to fight those poor defenceless people is St. George.

I don't think anyone but DD knows whether he did it or not. And if you asked him, do you honestly think he'd admit to it? That said, I don't think this was a reason to fire the guy. I do find it rather interesting that as soon as the union talk heated up, TF was no longer the chief pilot. Coincidence?

I don't know either of them, and I certainly never defended TF! where the hell did you get that?!

that's why I said he shouldn't have been fired. however, you can't walk into your CPs and shout him down, cuss him out and not expect something to happen. what did happen was too much, and TF should have backed down. however, it escalated to the point where neither was going to back down, thus the conflict I described.

pretty sure the govt paid for his attorney, and SkyWest will now have to pay.

justice done, IMHO
