Alaska new-hire denied ALPA, Rumor?

Not intended for flame. I heard of a new-hire at Alaska who was denied ALPA representation because of their "unregistared" status at Skywest. Like I said, purely rumor, just wondering if anyone else has heard anything similar?

I heard something about being affiliated with ASA Dirtbags, therefore being denied. Nothing about non-alpa status though.

Honestly, just wanted to find out if what I heard was remotely on target. This is the website for that! And by the way Trojan Lover, Alaska would not want to hire an ASA dirtbag because they wouldn't some commuter trying to get to work from across the U.S., unless they lived in DFW, SLC, or LAX. Oops, are those bases still around?

Huh? I guess I could try and contact a couple of the few dozen pilots that have gone from SkyWest to Alaska in the last year or so and find out whats up.

ALPA doesn't deny membership on that basis, especially since no one at Alaska has even the slightest clue who has sent in a card for the Skywest drive. That information isn't available to the various MECs.
