I've been given a choice of employment between Allegiant and Primiras. I know Primiras pays more, but does anyone out there know anyone who flies for Primiras.

For long term employment it seems that Allegiant is better but that is because I don't know anything about Primiras

Any help would be good

Not to be a d*ck , but if you choose the Primaris job you may want to learn how to spell their name first.
Aren't they a charter outfit with a single 73 or 75?

spell check would be helpful for me. they have one 75 and one 76. they were planning on getting a second 76. it's all charter work.

starting pay is 57/yr. with an upgrade of less than two years.

i did a phone interview with them and they offered me a job. since i don't know anyone who works there i didn't know anything else about them.

as far as a long term decision i would choose Allegiant, but i didn't know if someone knew something about Primaris that might change my mind.

i wanted as much info as possible to try and make a good decision.

Oh for a crystal ball.

This debate you are having reminds me of a time I was driving to Texas after my seperation(which ended up becomming a divorce) in a rental truck with all my belongings. I was tired and it was very late. The town was Slidell LA, and the choices were between the Super 8 and Econo Lodge. Oh what a decission I had to make. Ended up going with the Super 8, in case anyone wondered. Got a lousy few hours sleep and ended up getting up early, sucking down some coffee and moving on down I-10 West that beautiful morning towards a new life.

Good luck!!

Allegiant is a neat little airline. Everyone that has gone there and stayed or moved on has said good things about it. Primas what ever the hell their name is much less known entity. I would choose Allegiant, had alot of friends go there all were happy.

So you did a phone interview, and they gave you faulty info on the pay and aircraft that they have? Sounds a little sketchy to me. Who did you do the phone interview with?

Well said. Most of us who work here (the less vocal ones...), tend to really like it. It's very important, like any career decision, to do your homework and make the best decision based on family and finances. Things have gotten much better in most respects here over the last 3 years, mostly due to the efforts of our pilot representatives. We're looking at another round of negotiations which look to spell another consecutive year of significant improvements in pay and benefits (base hourly, profit sharing, retirement).

There is work to be done but progress is being made on a continual basis. I could go elsewhere but I choose to stay. I've been at the majors and hated every minute of it. To each his own. It's all about what you're looking to get out of a job.

I feel Allegiant has a very bright future and a very profitable and solid business plan.

Good luck in your decision.

Jason was the guys name. When he emailed me the title he had was Chief Pilot/VP of flight Ops.

it's good to hear what some people have been saying about my question.

- Primaris...A little known quantity, with grandiose plans ( that are ever changing ), and NO real successful execution thereof to date.

- Allegiant...A known quantity, solid planning, and a track record of execution so far. ( Observe their Route Map.)

HMMM ??

Decisions, Decisions...NOT.
