It appears to be down. I couldn't get on there yesterday and still no luck today.

I'm working on it. -Jank

I've heard of these mystical PDO things, but so far have found them as elusive as everyone else...

I'll post the whole story once I can get the server online. It may be a day or two by the looks of things--this is a pretty bad failure, I'm afraid. I'll post any updates here as things change as I can.

No. He should, but that prestigious award is reserved for management pukes and suck-ups. That window-dressing program lost all it's credibility when it was awarded to "No-PDO-Joe."

Good work, Jank. Even the guys who don't know what you've accomplished with that site owe you their gratitude.

I'm in the middle of reinstalling everything from the ground up. I've got archives of the system and the databases that will roll us back to Thursday morning at about 3AM, so we should only lose about a day's worth of posts. I hope, anyhow. There are some other issues not related to the RP.org website that I'm dealing with that may be more serious, but providing I don't have an aneyerism tonight I hope to have things up and running by tomorrow morning or sooner. Please spread the word.

I've got the server up and running, but the web server platform I'm using (Plesk) is keeping me from adding domains since the license I've purchased has apparently "expired" and needs to be revalidated before I can go forward. I'm not sure how long this will take, but hopefully will have a new license by later tonight or tomorrow. I don't think that it should take long to get up and running again once I have validated the license. Considering this is supposedly software I "own", I'm nearly ready to lose my mind. (If anybody out there has a legitimate Plesk license I can "borrow" for 24 hours, send me a PM!).

Please pass the word along that I cannot receive any e-mail at the [email protected] account or my personal e-mail account for now until I get the server completely operational.

I *think* I've got things running again. I lost everything since early Thursday, unfortunately, but I think we'll somehow survive.

If anybody has attempted to send me an e-mail since Thursday morning, I may not have gotten it. Please try sending it again.

Thanks J for the updates, I think we are all losing our minds without the site up, internet just isnt the same. As said before, you should never spend a dime on beer again.

Strikefinder:

Was the qxteamsters.org site hosted on the same server? I'm assuming it was, since we had the same outage with the same after-math.

ReverseSensing:

Yes, I host both websites, and was working with your folks to get things back up and running as soon as I heard things weren't running right. As of about 11:30PM EDT last night, your webmaster and I had your site back up and running. I am in communication with your EXCO and doing everything I can to help facilitate getting things back to normal. I sincerely apologize for the service outage.

Started matching on the first check after 1 yr for me.

I'm trying to roll over my RAH 401K to JetBlue's and I noticed there's $4,000 in the match account that's not vested.

Has the Union made any progress with the Company about this? Are they still pulling the same routine that I wasn't "full-time" because I didn't fly 900 goddamn hours a year?....

I wasn't looking to point a finger or anything, I was just curious. I appreciate all the hard work that our webmaster does and all the hard work you do to serve our site. I'm sure this is just about your worst nightmare -- computer-wise. Probably not even all the exorbitant pay can make up for it, huh?

I certainly wasn't upset with you! I'm sincerely frustrated by this, and particularly frustrated that I had to put your webmaster through this. He seems like a great guy and has done some great additions to your site, and the last thing he deserves is to get something like this dropped on him. Even though I had nothing to do with this particular event (major screwup further down the line), I nevertheless feel responsible and, unlike RepublicPilots.org, you folks are my customers rather than my colleagues.

Things are hopefully getting back to normal for you folks...

I just found out the company is supposed to match 2.5% from day 1 according to our contract.

That's also funny. Who, pray, is going to make them?

They are supposed to award upgrade based on seniority, too. According to our contract, yah?
