Only an idiot would of voted "No" on this LOA. Glad to see 68% of the work force was in touch with reality!!

For real? As a SWA poolie do you really have any clue what you're talking about? Well, if you're right (which you're not) then I and many others at FDX are idiots. Maybe when FDX hires newbies into HGK and CDG you can get a job with us and see for yourself. We'll find out who the idiots are after two years of living overseas with this POS LOA.

Dunce130 - Life is about choice.... FDX will fill HGK and CDG without hiring a newbie. If your don't want to go, don't bid it. The company was going to proceed with these FDAs with or without the LOA. You don't remember the postal contract. Grow up, take an economics class, face reality..... You can do it... Baby Steps.

Wow. Are you on the negotiating committe or the MEC? You sound like it. This was the same tactics they used to rally the vote. Sarcasm in the face of opposition, "just don't bid it" syndrome, we have no leverage with the company, they'll open it anyway, finally followed by a personal attack on the people who opposed it. You sure you're not BC?

Sensitive130 - THis isn't personal, this is business. You voted for the MEC. They represented you. They made a business decision that will ensure you have a job in the future. If you don't like it, quit, run for office, Start your own airline.... Your whining is unbecoming. Have a nice day!

e a nice day!

Noted....P-3..."served," but not really....4 posts....clown. Leave this to the actual FDX pilots.

Oh great and powerful "Magnuts," How could I compare to your "service"??? I thought we were discussing business and common sence. Sorry, it appears you may have shortcomings in these areas. See in Paris.

Frenchie:

You are an arrogant _rick! If you are one of us, why don't you bid Paris and show us what idiots we were to vote no?

Why are the Navy P-3 drivers such a bunch of maladjusted _uckups? I've wondered that for a long time. They're like the AWACS guys in the Air Force--we all know they _uck and they're a bunch of losers to boot. Is it Jet-envy?

WM
Proudly a "No"

Company Victory

Anyone that thinks this LOA is a "good deal"(or even a fair one) is kidding themselves. This was almost exactly the company's "First Offer", and was, as such, a starting point. That being said, it is water under the bridge (for now) and we have to live with it. It will be interesting to see what the "details to be determined later" will look like. This LOA has so many holes in it that it could not float across a narrow stream!

I find it hard to believe that the Union would so vehemently support such a POS without there being a "carrot" at the end of the dirty stick. I eagerly await the said "carrot".

Although I do not agree with the Unions handling of the age 60 fiasco, I do not believe that the two subjects are not related in any way (ie - it did not affect my vote).

I think we will be negotiating the "weaknesses' of this LOA on the next contract or two.

Fly Safe,
Krusty

Krusty's right. You guys (gender-neutral) will be forced to "buy" this LOA back in the next couple of contracts.

What will the company demand in exchange for better conditions for overseas basing?

Shortsighted. TC
