Anyone know the Omni International upgrade time? Either DC-10 or 757. I saw the Apr 06 DC-10 stuff on Airlinepilotcentral. But upgrades really running at about 1 year, or was that a fluke. Is that what seniority held or was that the only person with the quals that wanted it? Any info would be great.

wow! Seems fast on such big equipment. Is there a total time or time in type limit on that?

Does anyone know what they pay in training and how long until insurance kicks in?

Also is guarantee a distant goal each month or easily breakable if desired?
Thanks a lot.

You gotta either walk on water or suck some pretty good pole to get a 12 month upgrade w/no prior heavy intl time. More likey 2 years.

It's almost impossible to break guarantee but the pay is pretty good for working off time.

Tng pay is $250 a week plus per diem. And insurance kicks in after 60 days I think.

Hopefully Omni will be union soon and things will get better.

Can't speak for those who walk on water (DC-10 pilots) or suck pole (Flight Attendants?). I guess the heavy intl time from a prior carrier must have done the trick.

Date of hire is passing your checkride.

Scheduling is flexible.

Doesn't seem like a bad company, but could be difficult with a family.

Thanks for the info!

Are you typed initially, or just on upgrade?

If you are really sharp and impress the right people,12 months is poss. But more like 2 years.

upgrade

Is the quick upgrade (even 2 years isn't bad) because of growth or attrition or both?

If it is growth what are the company plans for the future, if mgmt shares plans with those in the trenches.

If attrition, are people just getting the dream job or fed up with some aspect of Omni and leaving?

Thanks for the insight.

Quick upgrades are solely due to attrition. It used to be that folks were getting their dream job, now it's that people are getting fed up with the BS. I can honestly say I don't know maybe 1 or 2 guys that aren't looking.

I heard it was because you got on your knees regularly!

When you sober up, and feel like saying something intelligent, meet up with the rest of us at www.omniaircrew.com. Till then, don't make assumptions you aren't prepared to back up, in person.

Dude it was just a joke. Don't be so sensitive!

Any chance an in person visit would get you bumped to the top? Or make people mad and send your resume to the circular file? -kingaira90

What are your schedules like? Do you do a few trips across the pond over towards Kuwait each month? What kind of flying does the 757 do? Mostly Hawaii stuff? Can someone give me an example of a monthly schedule? Thanks.
