Just a quick heads up for you former Mesa guys and gals. I got a note on my door today from the postman regarding a certified letter I have to sign for from MESA. Haven't picked it up yet, but word on the street is that they are going after those of us who left without paying off our training note.
I have been gone from Mesa for almost a year and thought that I had closed that horrible chapter in my life. Anyway, the amount of money that they have kept from me (my last pay check, my vacation time, and boatloads of sick time) more than covers the small amount left on my captains training note.
WTF over?? Are they that desperate for money? Any one else out there get this letter? Did you pay up? I'm not planning on it!

You signed a contract stating you would pay if you left before your obligated commitment? If so, then you owe then money...then collect the money they owe you. Its that simple. Or do you not stand by what you say you will do?

Sawmill,
You do know that you have to be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language in order to be a pilot right?

valid point. Hard to be mad that they violate the CBA if you don't honor the ones you sign.

Don't like it? DON'T WORK THERE. I refused to PFT, sign a training bond, contract, whatever.

If pilots stopped whoring themselves to places like Mesa, the contracts would go away. It's supply and demand--you can't demand a dollar if you keep supplying yourself for a nickel.

Mesa certified letter

JO is going to squeeze Blood out of a Turnip. You go with a Bottom Feeder, you get what you pay for. ha ha ha. Get it? Pay for. Stay away from Mesa they suck.

What part of English do you guys have trouble understanding? Other than mistyping "then" when he meant "them", Sawmill's posting is a plain as day.

Read s-l-o-w-l-y.

The way I see it - they NEVER followed the POS contract they signed with the pilots why should I follow the one I signed with them? They were not living up to their end of the bargain why should I live up to mine! JO can go pound sand on this one!

Inconceivable- When I got on with mesa in 2003, they were one of just a small handfull of regionals / commuters hiring. With almost 3,000 tt, 1,000 multi, and 400 PIC Turbine, I couldn't get a bite back then. There wasn't much of a job market out there, so Mesa didn't look like a bad deal with the old Freedom gone and a lot of growth to come. Other than the san juaners, most of us getting hired had well over 2,500 hrs. The 5 prior classes to mine were all USAIR and UAL j4j's people. I wouldn't be so quick to lable us a bunch of whores!
