178 hours in 4 months in a 560XL for NetJets. That extrapolates to 534 in a year, if it stays consistent.

2005 1300 hours
2006 680 hours
2007 (so far) 200 hours

I like this trend! Can you guess when I stopped flying Cargo?

My 1st year at NJA in the WhistlePig (BE400) was a vacation, I think 200 hours. The second year has been a coinflip. Some days I work my rear off, flying 5 legas in a 13.8 hour day, other days I just watch spiders build webs on it.
Overall, even with all the extra stuff we do, it's more pleasure than the airlines were. It's just the showtimes that stink.
I'm waiting for the answer from the XL and Citation X guys...now THERE'S the working class!

About 350 hours in the Ultra/Encore fleet. I'll take it! Last tour I took 2 airlines, 2 sedan rides and flew exactly 0 hours.

Yeah, I'm doing the same. I averaged out 350 hours a year in the Encore over the last two years. This year I am trending slightly lower. It appears that the plane breaks down about once every 5 flights or so. Last tour I flew revenue flight two out of 7 days.

140 hours so far this year in the NJA Encore. But I had vacation plus company & airplane recurrent the 1st 6 months of the year so I should see another 200 hours+ for the year which would bring up to my average of 350 hours per year.

Hmmm...

I get screwed no matter what fleet I go to.

How the heck do you fly fewer hours in the X then I do in the Falcon?

I had almost as many hrs by July 2006 in the X as you flew all yr. 353 hrs with 2 vacations and 2 recurrent tours from Jan - Jul 06
It's the Marine in you Bro.

Citation X:
2004 - 430
2005 - 380
2006 - 445

Back in the day, I flew 700/year in the Ultra.

Doesn't sound like the X pilots at Netjets work that much harder than other fleet pilots just looking at the hours per year. However, I am sure the number of transcon flights per year makes the total seem that much more tiring... Still, the total hours numbers seem lower than you would expect...

Maybe differences in dispatch reliability?

I'm in the ultra at netjets and have flown a whopping 85 hours this year and still have company recurrent and another sim recurrent to go to. I have a lot of time in the FBO chairs though.

Question for you frax pilots:

For NJA, CS and Flex, which fleets are the busiest and least busy within your company and what are the "average" hours per year for those pilots?

I know that aircraft assignment can be luck of the draw depending upon need at the time but fleet can impact QOL depending upon utilization. For NJA, I have heard the XL and X are the busiest fleets and I assume CJ3 is a busy fleet at CS but I am not quite sure about Flex.

Well i'm on duty at home again. This seems to happen to me at least 3 days a month. I guess they must figure I was working too hard.

I work hard to not work hard.

Anyways, I average about 400 hours a year. Maybe 500 on a bad year. I will edit when I pop open the laptop and see the actual numbers. They may be lower.

Oh that was on the Ultra for the last 4.5.

1999---120.9---Ultra, year I got hired
2000---387.2---Ultra
2001---373.7---Ultra
2002---451.4--Ultra
2003---396.8---Ultra
2004---352.8---XL Transition from Ultra to XL
2005---538.6---XL
2006---485.3---XL
So Far 2007---225---XL

At Flex it's probably the 300, and I think the highest time guy in the fleet flew 700 hours last year.
