Remember, the BODs had to send this TA to the pilot group. They didn't come up with the TA, the NEGOTIATING COMMITTEE did

Not 100% true.

AP was present at many of the mediation sessions, passing proposals across the table.

I've worked with these guys and I would never for one minute question their motives. With the "support" our negotiators have received from us on the line, this TA shouldn't surprise anyone.

I say vote it down and put in new negotiators. Line pilots need to fight this battle from inside the cockpit and at the curb walking in circles!!

We're great at passive resistance, now it's time for aggressive resistance.

Well said.

Eagle...I hope you're right with your analysis. If what you believe just so happens to be true, then it is one heck of a gamble our BOD is taking.

However, I do not believe this to be the case. I believe the boogieman came to the door and scared them senseless. These guys MUST have the balls to stand up to such pressure and seperate fact from fiction. In the eyes of the pilot group, they have shown cowardice by not rejecting this at the BOD level. It is one thing to say, "Well gentleman, we have just one or two things we know you'll find disagreeable, but the rest of this T/A rocks", as opposed to, "The good news is we'll be back at the negotiating table in 3.5 years to fix everything that we couldn't get fixed this time." Is that leadership? Does that instill confidence? Not in my book.

Loyalty and solidarity does not come free. It must be earned by setting an unwavering example. We have one such pilot here who did just that. He stood his ground as a union committee chairman and management didn't like it because he threw all their BS right back in their face. He was fired for it. One month later, he got his job back in what was clearly a case of intimidation of a union officer. THIS is the type of person who has my respect that I would want leading us into battle...not the current, "let's not rock the boat" president we have now.

So I will meet you halfway on the recalls. President goes. Entire NC goes. Vice President and rest of BOD is put on notice that they are one step away from recall if they so much as blink. New T/A better be what we tell them to do or start the 30 day countdown and get in line to grab a sign.

Reserve language is so ambiguous and confusing... (Ready reserve at outstations for three days??? Deadhead there and sit for 6 hours....where are you going to sit???? Movable days off.... reserve to regular...R/R1/R2 TAP Tactical reserve..... how many different names to we need for them to say:

"Today you are R1 but with the movable day you are going to be here till 0200 and we will give you a CDO but put you to R2 the next night but you must self notify otherwise you will be a no show and we will deduct a 3.5 from your pay...." tongue in cheek
They can't handle the current language for the simplest of reschedules... they will have a field day with this.... Way too much leeway for them to make a reserve persons life an existence in hell.

Anything >50 seats needs to be Air Tran pilots. Pay chart for <86 seats is about $20 dollars short (at a minimum for year 1 Captains) and real raises each year after that... other pay charts need to slide up at least one notch on the pay chart to be able to recoup what you will lose with the dwell time. 4 hour a day minimum guarantee. Better yet, what is wrong with a 4.5 hour guarantee? Clean language for SAP 2 and FLICA!!!!

Easiest way to save big bucks is to use FLICA as it was designed and not the abortive mess they have turned it into....

Several pages on "failing" or not getting recommended for a training event... why not several pages on ways to make training better? Home study program that will save them big dollars but we get 3.5 hours of pay for 6-8 hour study program.... at the training center we got 4 per day????

This company is poised to become a great airline if they could just get their heads out of their nether regions. You have a great pilot group that saves the company millions of dollars with efficient flying. A pilot group that comes from a variety of backgrounds where they have been mistreated and crapped on time and time again. Don't put out a bunch of crap on a piece of paper and expect us to embrace it. NC- get ready to get back to work because what you brought to your "brothers" that have been paying you handsomely for the past two years is a sorry excuse for the trust and confidence that was bestowed upon you when you took this responsibility. BOD-do not lie during your road show and try to sell this thing. You know that it is concessionary and is beneath this pilot group. This is the pilot group that has stood behind the company time and time again. This is the pilot group that has supported the union even though the union has not always supported them. (Christmas debacle... age 65... tossing out grievances for the sake of others)
We did not ask to be elected to the BOD or to be on the NC. YOU DID! Please do not fail us.

I haven't seen it on the NPA website either but it was in the NPA eWeekly email dated 6/4/07. Guess we already missed 2 of them...although there's nothing they could say that will make me change my NO vote.

I do not understand why some CA are voting yes all b/c of pay rates/bonus knowing they are screwing every one below them. If you need any more proof why this TA sux ask a scheduler what they think about ready reserve at the end of a trip. I know one from a previous job and he said that is the dream tool because basically instead of saying standby for a couple of minutes he can now automatically sit you for an hour until they get caught up. Basically our new TA has worst reserve than a regional.

Are any of the NC on reserve?

Have you seen the FOs sticker that reads FAIL = F AirTran Im Leaving?

Do it Now

For all of you that are willing to take part in informational picketing, please email [email protected] and make sure they have current contact info on you.

Unfortunately saying "I'm in" on this website means nothing unless the NPA knows you're in.

This is absolutely true. I just spoke with a BOD member and he admitted that this thing is a turd. He told me to start recruiting now. We need people to be able to back up a no vote. E-MAIL THE SPC NOW.

Did anybody attend a road show? I wonder how they will try and spin it. They should open the vote so we can get it over with.

Then why didn't he have the cajones to stand up and vote NO on the TA, and make his voice loud and clear when it counted!

I think these BoD pr!cks sold out to the company thinking it wasn't so bad given what they got in return (which we will never know). Now they see the massive backlash and are trying to figure out how they can save face. I haven't seen any of them since the TA came out but when I do I will let know of my "deepest displeasure with their performance". I'm hearing that there have been alot of "screaming matches" in the crew room that have gotten the attention of everyone in the room.

MS said he voted for it because we only had 100 volunteers to picket. What a crock... Have some balls Mike, stand up to the company and represent the pilots who voted you into office thinking you had our back. I guess no one was covering your backside Mike, because the Kolski, Fornaro, Philpot company spin machine just bent you over a chair and had their way with you.
