Been to Guatemala a few times. I tell you what, it's one place that can get dangerous in IMC. But tegucigalpa? That place is always a challenge.

You need to 'jump-seat' in a bigger jet and then you would know why what seems to be a 'side-loaded' touchdown is actually quite normal.

I flew in to San Pedro Sulas, Honduras then drove on the road from there to Tegucigalpa......i'll take that approach into Tegus over the drive from San Pedro any day...trust me.

All I am saying, go into Guatemala City in an DC-8, and your opinion on how easy it is may change. An -8 is just a tad more difficult to fly than an Airbus, just a tad.
