Just saw this news come across the wire. More growth at NJE - now they are adding the Hawker 4000 to all of those beautiful Falcon 7Xs they just ordered (I think 30+ Falcon 7Xs recently)... Plus those guys get to fly the integrated fleet - everything from the Beechjunk to the G550 - and now the Falcon 7X in the next few years. Must be nice... Any friendly rivalries between the NJA/NJI and NJE pilot groups?????

LONDON, May 21 (Reuters) - NetJets Europe on Monday announced it had signed an order worth more than $700 million for 32 Hawker 4000 business jets and their maintenance.
"Deliveries for the 32 Hawker 4000 aircraft will commence in the third quarter 2008 and are scheduled to run through 2016," NetJets said in a statement.
The Hawker 4000 is Hawker Beechcraft's biggest model, capable of seating eight passengers and has a range of 3,300 nautical miles.

Big deal, NJA has had those planes on order for 6 or 7 years, can't remember how long it is all starting to blur together, anyway when the things actually show up on the ramp it will be a miracle. Orders are one thing, delivery is another.

As far as the 7x now that is another story, I would love to get my hands on that thing. Do I think we will see them on the US side of the operation??? Yes, when is the question.

how does it look in person? Is it bigger than the X or G200? Did you get to look in it?

Better have a couple of Snickers bars. NJA won't be seeing the 7X any time soon.

I would assume that the 7X would compete directly with the G450 - right? If so, I suppose one could assume that NJA/NJI wouldn't want to have competing products that would cannibalize each other (competing for the same customer). However, that doesn't explain why NJE would have both the 7X and the GIVSP... Perhaps the Europeans are more nationalistic and want to fly on French-made aircraft. Regardless, NJE is getting a lot of growth now with those 4000s, other new Hawkers (950s?) and the 7X.

Saw one the other day. Went in it and talked to the pilot. He is a NJA line pilot, flying with the Raytheon pilots. The pilots seemed really impressed and say that it is beating all the numbers. I have never been into Myrtle Beach, but he was impressed, saying they went in there at max landing weight. Then took off the next day, 8 pax, flew nonstop to SMO, at ??? (he told me the mach number but I cant remember...either .80 or .84).

The plane has 2 clubs, very spacious. Tall cabin. Big galley area.

lots more cabin room than the X, not sure about the G200.

From outside, it looks like a G200 fuselage with Beechjet engines. I am guessing that it is wider then the G200.

Actually, I saw a 4000 on the ramp the other day. They are starting to show up.

Starting to show up? Just because there is one floating around, that doesnt mean that your going to see a skew of them. This plane has plenty of problems........lets start with the interior itself. I think that we will get plenty of Citation 12's before we get a slew of these 4000's.

Cabin Volume G-200: 868 cu ft; H4000: 762 cu ft; CX: 508 cu ft
Cabin Ht G-200: 6'3"; H4000: 6'0"; CX: 5'7"
Cabin Width G-200: 7' 2"; H4000: 6'5"; CX: 5'7"

3" shorter in Ht and 9" narrower than the G200, all for more money. Not sure people will dig that on a 5 hour flight. Yet another plane that rick thought was going to save the day.
